You'd think that having lived without Galactic Civilizations since I played the little bit on OS/2 that I'd be able to survive until then... I am sure I can... but it won't be pretty. And Compucentre said the 31st, but that's the one at Alexis Nihon. Their website said the 26th darnitall.

Trade Suggestion. I noticed that a lot of people are mentioning the difficulty of trades with foreign empires. Some talk of auto-trade to make choosing what the opposing empire will accept rather than just clicking the choices until it changes color. How about an auto-compromise. I know sometimes in games I'll offer XYZ for ABCDE, or try to trade LeClair for Forsberg, how about having the computer say, "No, I don't like that, but if you add such and such..." Or "That's

I noticed people discussing trade goods, ala Civ for non-production. Thought I'd offer an alternative. I haven't played the game yet, and have no idea what benefit this kind of thing might give... and so saying. What about non-production planet increasing morale/happiness? I'm just thinking, instead of a population that isn't producing anything, making money. Why wouldn't that population be happy about not having to work? Just think real world. Hi, you've been working

I just love the bonuspak! The mp3 player is such a great idea, not because it is needed, but because it just makes things nicer. It just shows how much galciv is being programmed by people who play the games just like the rest of us; people who would have to find odd programs to macro keys in game so as to be able to skip a song in their mp3 player that is running in the background. That alone is a masterpiece that makes me smile just thinking of it. And I really detest the noti

Well, I am sure that the fan base that was already inclined to buy the game will do so. Those that would pirate the game might be convinced to purchase it due to future support/hard work. And if not, they probably wouldn't have bought it anyways. I don't think it really impacts those who are actual consumers.

SEIV has lots of interesting techs. Lots of options. But it tends to get a little dull I found. Because the only real choice is `kill everyone' it doesn't have much staying power. Same routine over and over, same results. I like being able to remove star lanes and add them that's fun. I also like that your civ gains experience the more games you play with it; although I don't know what actual effect that has. It contains good stuff, good work, good

An interesting analogy you have there Lifewish, but not necessarily an exact comparison. Once someone buys something, to use an example of a computer such as you did, both people can use it. Or a car, or a book. It's accepted that this will happen. It's not necessarily a question of multiple `copies' but multpiple use. A narrow difference, but a difference. Maybe it makes me a bad person, but I'm going to let my girlfriend read books I buy... Admittedly when doing upgr
