My RAM I did upgrade thank you very much. [e digicons];P[/e]

Just hope my rotten, ATI 9800 128MB card will make the cut. If not, I will know soon enough and do a stealth card purchase and install before the wife catches wind of it. That screen is good enough for me though. [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Not long enough I say. Some titles have attempted to incorporate RTS battles into turn-based games and I am always let down once the fightin' starts. I am busy plotting my development and then have to jump into a battle that requires much more clicking than I would want. Plus, taking a descendant of MoM into the RTS realm is heresy!!! I too would have liked a richer economic system, but I will defer to you who are overseeing the big pi
For some inexplicable reason, I re-subbed to Everquest II. Bury my head in that until I get Elemental access.
Pretty sure, your pre-order will only be activated once the next Beta begins, which will be Beta 2 in a couple weeks or so. I am patiently waiting, too. [e digicons]*_*[/e] Additionally, you will not be charged until it is activated.
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="56" id="2624525"] Because Elemental is being made exclusively for the PC with an engine designed exclusively for the PC we can do things like have it use 1 gigabyte of memory. Now, for PC users, a gig of RAM is nothing. But an Xbox 360 only has 512MB of RAM (which is has to share with graphics). So that means we can have units that look and feel very differently from one another. Lots of NPCs, each that are different. Lots of different
Since I only just pre-ordered. my guess is I will not be mad. Sorry to the pre-Beta 2 testers for making you all do the heavy lifting. My trust in each of you in doing a splendid job knows no bounds. [e digicons][/e]
There is a relatively, healthy discussion about the game here . I have decided to wait until more of the single player aspects are implemented. With games of this type that have online play, I always fall in the category of "People who get pounded by those who have more time to perfect strategies".
"In my day...." HA! In how many forums can I now runabout and say, "SOLD!!!". Also " Member No. 629,654"... Does that make me old-school so I can say "In my day when I posted on the Stardock forums..." or is there a lower threshold?
Turns out I had registered online and my character I added during the error messages had miraculously appeared. So maybe some of the rest of you can do nothing and it will fix itself as well.
Jamest65, Tyjenks, Celestial LIght & IIWrath, please visit our registration page ( Link ) and register your serial number first. Then go back to the character creation page. Most likely that will get everything straightened out for you. Thanks. Will do when I get home. Not sure how I missed that you had to register online if pu
Same here with the Serial # thingie
Brad musta given everyone the weekend off.
The last page in this thread in the bug forum has several people reporting this error: https://forums.galciv2.com/index.aspx?ForumID=274&AID=101610&p=4
I get the same thing. Surely it is somewhere else in this forum. I will commence an exhaustive search.
TGB - I get the same thing. I ended up winning by military victory with the counter stuck on 12 mts. ~SDC~

Great site. I alt-tab between the tech/research tree page on your site and the game when faced with a tough decision. Being able to "drill down" to the info regarding a specific tech is wonderful. :)
Here it is Brad ~SDC~
Thanks Nidaros. I'll be the one in a hard fought battle for last place. ;) -Tyler ~SDC~
I have a very new guy question. Is it possible to come back from a hoorible starting position. Few stars in your region and not many habitable. If they are habitable, they are 14s and 15s. Do most of you tough it out or simply go ahead and restart? I am sure some of you experts can make something from nothing, but I have a hard enough time from a good initial spot against the dumb guys. Thanks, tj :) :) :) ~SDC~
I have talked to Brad off and on here and at Quarter to Three's forums. He was actually the one who got me excited about GalCiv, mostly from his After action reports. As has been said here before, I was excited (as many were) for MoO3 and after its poor showing, I decided to jump on the Galactic Civilizations bandwagon. Brad's sense of humor helps and it seems to show in the game. I love games by smaller developers because they do seem to be better supported and the team is usually ver
Can I have one of the pens with which you sign? Youu know, like the president does.
Frogboy - I imagine you guys have been through this before and expect a couple of Beta Testers to go rogue on you and different versions to leak out. Are preventative measures in place beforehand to help catch guilty parties or do you have to ferret them out as they pop up? Or maybe it is just a part of the deal and you try not to pop a vein in your neck stressing about it? Thanks
