was wondering if it would be possible to to trim what the parser interpets. for example K_Female_Head_02 when the interperter reads the the file it becomes K_K_Female_Head_02 that way the inerperter is only reading a percentage of the file instead of the whole thing .

playing the game today had i have noticed this build is no where near as smooth running as the other builds . regardless the game crashed to desktop randomly i did get a debug.err and have also included the save files. i had just finish fighting a wolf and went to build a new city and then the game crashed to desktop . earlier today i had 400+ turn game until the out of memory bug struck .</p

i would try the linux distro with wine then as this may be your best option :(

well since you have virtual box at the ready get your self a linux disc . i recomend either unbuntu or mint .. readup on wine and install the proper packages and that might be a way to get you up and running. also there is a couple commercial alternatives to wine that might give you better chances .

No. still will not intialize display on this dual monitor system . with that said however the game now actually runs on this computer (single display) so at least there is progress on that front. hopefully i will be able to play more .

what driver version are using of nvidia's ?? and are the displays mirrored ?
Well this will provide a intresting nugget of information . After reading DragingRagon's post i figured what the heck i will try the span mode (extend desktop option) just to see what happens. and what do you know it worked . game still crashes at the intro screen with the panning background though . went back to mirror (as this is how i watch movies from bed) and still

Upon launch the game gives the folloing error message Failed to Intialize display. just a black box opens and the then the gray box with the error message. simple setup new install of windows 7 ultimate 64 bit was the latest nvidia drivers until this week . only thing odd is dual display intel 8500 4 gigs of ram 61 gigs of 300 gigs are unused on the main drive . dx diag comes back nice and clean
