Heh, I totally disagree on alot of these opinions, but that's because I always set "alignment" to random at the start of each game. In the last game I started the Torians were neutral, and were total machines when it came to tech and expansion. I *was* winning a war against them, until they developed dreadnoughts out of nowhere. (Actually, I think they forced the evil Altairians into a peace treaty and took dreadnought tech.) :sniff!:

You're not playing on the largest galaxy setting. ;) This is my only gripe with Metaverse, is that it's too heavily weighted in favor of galaxy size. I definately didn't deserve all the points I've gotten for the two games on huge and gigantic I've played.

I just wanted to second the suggestion for "Governor" sliders for economy in addition to the global empire wide three sliders. That'd really be nice, and it wouldn't make the game micromanage-y at all. Oh, and is there anyway to make have like a ship listings type thing on the map where you can see the id names of all your ships that are deployed, rather than just dots? That might be asking too much, but it might be kinda nice. If it is already there and I haven't noticed it though,

I mean seriously, at the rate you guys are patching, are on the forums answering questions, and doing a ton of other stuff, I have to wonder if you guys are getting any rest? I totally appreciate the awesome customer support here, but just don't burn yourselves out so soon after release.

I started a new game with the patch and played for awhile. I don't know, I was able to still get money from trading techs, but no it wasn't enough to keep running at 100% and still be putting money in the bank for 50 turns, which is what I was doing before. So the patch doesn't seem too harsh to me. What about everyone else?

Alright, I've seen alot of threads about low morale on planets, no matter how many morale boosting improvements are made. But I thought the equillibrium point was Morale of 50? If it's higher, population increases till it's 50. On planets where I've built tons of morale improvements, the population is much higher at 50 morale than it is when I first colonized them. So is there something that I'm just not understanding? What's the real "morale" issue? Are planets freefalling

No no no...I think the MoO3 game was an excellent alpha test. I just think it just needs another few months of debugging and rewriting...oh, and better documentation. Seriously, I do have hope that MoO3 will be a good game in the future, but at the moment it has too many bugs and quirks to be alot of fun. I think they rushed the game at the very end, and they probably shouldn't have released it when they did. My guess is that they were afraid of the backlash if there was yet another

I feel really dumb. I can't figure out how to load mp3's into the player. I thought it was asking for playlists, so I put one in the playlist directory...but that didn't do anything. Do I actually have to specify the directory the mp3's I want to play are in?

Wow, I've never been on the low end of forum age before. 21 Just bought the game and am downloading now. I was convinced to buy it by "Frogboy"'s attitude and actions. I read the example play that he put up on newsgroups, I read his essays in the Encyclopedia, and realized I agree with the stuff he said about strategy games, and I was just blown away to have seen a real open beta for once. Too bad I couldn't get in on it. ;) Anyway, all I'm trying to say is that this seem
