I always take GalCiv 1 with me on my labtop on business trips. And I will (hopefully) do the same with GalCiv 2 - Civ 4 doesn't run because of some video issues (and getting new video drivers for a 2 year old notebook is nearly impossible).

Downloaded about half of the game now (from Germany). Had to restart Movies, though - got an error during download/installation (-19 connection closed by the server, followed by -18 HTML code detected and then a couple of more -19 errors). I'll try again and see if the error hits me again... </TABL

Well, seems I made the right choice when I preordered directly from Stardock - I may have to pay custom taxes but at least I get the real deal... If you can't confirm that play.com carries the Collectors Edition, why don't you cancel the order there and preorder at Stardock?

Hi, I'm in a little bit of a Dilemma. SDCentral Problem in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I just updated SDCentral (and GalCiv) ;) , after the latest update 1.10b.199 (build 23) I can no longer view discussions with the sdcentral client. The client just waits for a few seconds and then "crashes" (ist just vanishes). Anybody having a similar problem?

Trade goods bonuses - where do I find them? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Ok, sorry in advance, perhaps I'm just blind... I managed to get Frictionless Clothing from the Carinoids (or whatever they are called ;) ), but where do I actually see what benefits I have of that deal? I checked the status screens but somehow cannot find anything that related to bonuses gained from Trade Goods... Is it just me being stupid, or is there really no such screen? Thanks DocDVD ~SDC~

Two things I noticed while playing the newest 1.02 version: 1) One random event glitch: I colonized a planet where I find a precursor artifact that feeds of life force engergy.. The options are.. a) not use ist (no bonus/good) b) allow the terminally ill to sacrifice themselves (+11% planet quality) c) run a lottery to determine 100 people each day to be fed to the artifact (+11% planet quality) So it seems the evil choice gives the same amount of bonus tha
