Basj, What's strange to me is that I had not made any changes to my enlargement program in months. So, unless some sort of update sneaked past me while I wasn't watching, I haven't a clue how the Enable setting got turned on!! Go figure! Sure appreciate your suggestions. Thanks, Mary

Well, y'all. I tried to take a screen shot and the Fences reminder didn't show up. I also use a screen-enlargement program, so I went into the program settings and found that one of its Enable settings had been turned on, who know how or why. I turned it off and, viola, the annoying little Fences reminder went away. Thanks for suggesting I take a screen shot, which led to the solution!! Mary Mack
AzDude, thanks so much for forwarding this problem!! Will eagerly await a resonse. Mary Mack
Basi, unfortunately that didn't work either. It still appears when Fences is disabled. It's not actually a desktop icon but more like a reminder that I've got Fences on my computer. Duh! Thanks so much for trying to help me.
Basj, thanks for the reply. Sadly, that didn't work. The annoying icon isn't sitting on the desktop as a part of my Fences. It's something that seems to have attached itself to my screen "hovering above" the desktop . . . sorry, I simply don't know how to describe it. Actually, it doesn't always appear when I'm just on the desktop, sometimes yes/sometimes no. But, no matter which program/website I go to, it pops up in that left upper corner. I can scroll le
A few days ago, every time I turn on my computer, I now get an icon in the upper left corner of my screen that simply won't go away. I've used Fences for years and have never had this problem before. The icon has the Fences "F" along with a finger in its lower right corner. It's pretty small, but it covers up things I need to see. Since I'm visually impaired, I need that thing to go away. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? Thanks, Mary Mack
One of my MS Excel files keeps "escaping" the fence I put it in, and it ends up on the desktop. I move it back into the fence and double-click to open it, which takes a while (some lag time). After I finish my work and save it again, it ends up on the desktop and not in the fence. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I don't seem to have this problem with other Excel files, or anything else. Thanks! Mary Mack
