Well said Keith! Sins is a great game and I know I will be hooked on it and look forward to all the endless hours to come! To the staff of Stardock and Ironclad, thank you for all your hard work bringing this game to us, and thank you in advance for all the community and product support you will be giving us going forward!

I thought PQ26 was the highest you find and any higher would be result of PQ bonuses.
Hm, if that is the case, then the PQ26+50% research would be better since it would a shorter amount of time to build up and have less maintenance cost.
Quick question, For these type of research juggernaut planets, which would be better? A PQ38 planet or a PQ26+50%research planet?
Yes, I think my play style so far has been same as Purge describes. The one downside is so much micromanagement of your constructor fleets as they pop up on the 20nth turn on some remote planet. Of course having fewer production specialized planets that pump them out faster would mean less micromanagement. So I suppose you can only specialize later in the game since you will need to start each planet up with at least two factories to get any buildings up in the first place, then decom
Oh, perhaps I have been specializing the planets incorrectly. I've been farming on the high PQ planets thinking that they would eventually reach a higher pop cap (a few have 20-30M). For my PQ 10 planets, I usually put 2-3 research, 2 industry, 2-3 market, morale, farm and have them pump out constructors. I was lucky enough to grab 7 planets in the same sector and put up a 4 starbase econ array there. As for trade goods and achievements, I've been on top of them since I just buy them
Hi guys, I'm a long time lurker and huge fan of this game since Galciv1. I have read a few posts where some of you vets say you can generate huge amounts of income with a good economy (50-100k bc per turn even??). Is that really true? I'm currently playing Crippling, largest size universe, abbundant everything, normal tech, custom race (+20 econ, +20 morale, +10 research). I've managed to colonize about 30 planets and developed most of them without getting into a war yet sin
After taking a good appreciative look at the new screenshot of the tech tree posted on the main page today, I clicked on "DONE" to try to close the window. For a minute, I was befuddled as to why the game wasn't working right. LOL
I have a question about starbase trade bonuses. Do they stack? Can you build 3 starbases with full trade bonuses in a sector and get a superboost to your trade the same way ship catapults are built? ~SDC~
Oh, I forgot to add, they were involved in wars with the Torian and Dregnin, their treasury was pretty low. That probably played a factor in it too, but wondered if that was all there is to it.
I was playing on Intelligentlevel near the end of the game. I was on my way to a cultural victory, but noticed that the Altarians were way ahead of me in research. They had a whole bunch of techs including near omnipotence. I was on Friendly terms with them, and around even standing in diplomacy (maybe a slight edge). So I made a deal to buy all their techs: Near Omniscience, Near Omnipotence, and most of the 4D stuff all for 5600bc over 5 turns. FIVE TURNS!! So basically, if I shut down m
That's an easy choice. No competition there. LOL
Amazon.com has MOO3 for a whopping $9.99 after rebates. I bought the game when it first came out but returned it immediately after seeing how bad it was. Even at this price, I'm not sure I want to buy it. ;)Would you?
You know, the number of times I've finished this game is LESS than the number of times updates and patches has been released. :D Thanks to Frogboy and the dev team for all their hard work and support! I wish all games had this level of product support behind it.
You should turn off the autolaunch feature on the planet which you are building the colony ship or transport on. Otherwise, it will automatically launch the ship with half of the star system's population.
Is there a way to generate a new galaxy map if I don't like my starting location?
Not really. If that was the case, my newly invaded world should be at 4.8 Billion, but I usually only see 500-1000 mil in terms of population depending on the planet quality.
Hey guys, I don't know if you noticed, but if I take a full combat transport of 5Billion to successfully invade a world, even if I only suffered 200mil casualty, the whole transport is gone afterwards. What happened to the remaining 4.8Bil troops?
