did you make it hit "private" by accident? at the very least always make sure to hit Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C so a copy is in your clipboard if worse comes to worse. better yet, edit and save in a text file outside your browser. brad, please just kick him and spare everyone from reading his crap. it only takes a few trolls to bring down the level of a discussion site.
cooooooooool. even the first half of the replies are fun to read.
don't forget the companies were caught fixing music prices and had to pay a small(IMHO) fine.
why is it divided into republican and democrat? if it is posted in republicanville does that mean the article is talking about republicans only, that the article is meant for republicans to read, that the poster is a republican? there should be a general/independent/other/misc section under most of the categories to grab the ones that don't fit.
politics: the art of getting votes from the rich and the poor by promising to protect the one from the other. Ameringer, Oscar uh, look at nader's and buchanan's stats. i am going to make a wag that people who voted for crazies like nader and buchanan are left and right respectively. so if you divide it into left/right you get: Vote by Education
i just read up on the moveon ad that was not shown. that isn't fair. you should write a full article on it, rather then let it get buried under a title with the word "boob" in it.
games where i really liked the story: thief ii (haven't finished it): great story, and you can catch whole chunks of it in the game itself: notes and letters are written that make you feel that the characters are alive. or just listen to conversations as people talk about so and so... freedom force: epic comic booky type story longest journey: a real epic adventure game grim fandango had a pretty good and original story although some of the puzzles annoyed me
I don't care if it's a lie as long as it's entertaining. -Commoner, Rashômon Previously on Urban Legends are Fun I listed reasons why the "Dear Mr. Clinton" article being sent through email was at least 50% bs. Now another Urban Legend has been posted: The inevitable fall o
this is dissected on snopes.com . some of the most important points: "Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University is not the source of any of the statistics or the text attributed to him." the guy was an author but it is not likely he wrote the quote, the books "The Fall of the Athenian Republic" or "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic" are not listed in the library of congress. the county murder
i really like metapad too. all the text editing tricks it has makes it not just freeware but pricelessware . irfanview is cool too. in reverse of most people i use avantbrower (IE shell) to surf the web and firebird for sites that don't work because i have activex and flash turned off. trillian not so much: the time i installed it my computer crashed, so i use "easy message" instead. i wrote a
whoops messed up the links: Spybot Adaware
Reply By: Paco ------------------ I read the article, but I think the write totally didn't get one thing. I have the player, but you know, it ACTUALLY does something. ... Yeah, and they're def not spyware, 'cause you don't get pop-ups, and as far as I kow, nothing bad has happened to my computer, no extra junk mail, etc. S, I don't know what everyone is talking about. ------------------ it's nice that it does something, but i already already have stuff that does wh

Reply By: Muggaz Posted: Wednesday, January 21, 2004 ----------- Thanks man... i seriously believed that stuff... but i am a naive Aussie and we dont really know whats going on over there most of the time... unless it involves Britney Spears or Shaquille O'neal. ----------- your welcome! i always enjoy shooting giant smoking holes in someone's argument. the sad thing is that people are generally trusting and people will always take advantage of that, even in some
Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. - the Principal, from Billy Madison I consider an urban legend "anti-knowledge". You ta

brad: ------------- So for the left you have Al Franken and Eric Alterman. Both immensely famous people in the media. And for the right, the best they can do is Tucker Carlson and Laurel Ingram. ------------- it probably depends on the audience. franken is fairly famous. i actually recognized carlson because i see him on political talk shows often (plus he has a neat first name) and he does seem like a decent guy. but did not know who alterman was and didn't recogn
Apparently a 17-year-old named Mike Rowe is getting threatened with legal action because Microsoft of his site, MikeRoweSoft.com(say the name out loud). Microsoft offered him ten dollars to transfer his domain name and Rowe refused for less than ten thousand, claiming he had already spent a lot of time and effort on his part-time business, including spending money to print stationary. Microsoft then accused Rowe of making the business just to get bought out from Microsoft and sent him a 25-p

russellmz russell = first name m = initial of my middle name z = initial of my last name funky huh? two others i use for online games are "Experiment 626" named after the only animated disney character to use a child as a human shield against someone shooting at him(that i know of) very destructive, mostly incomprehensable, and often misunderstood by strangers, friends, and family plus it takes a real
(whoops hit enter on post comment too early...) how does it cost time? i found lots of excellent stuff that has saved me a lot of time or has no equivalent. Pricelessware.org lots of freeware that does a good or better job as pay software. some examples used to be commercial but was released to the public domain.

spoilers i guess... . . . . I caught a marathon of Real World/Road Rules Challenge on MTV during the holidays. I was entertained, but the later episodes had me glued. Basically the former castmembers from the two shows compete in reality TV challenges for a chance at cash for their team. Then at the end each team votes in a player to the Gauntlet . The winner of the Gauntlet stays in the game, but the loser is forced off the show and gets none of the prize money.
i wish there was an easier way to play opponents equal to your ability that didn't require pre-scheduled organized matches. i had plenty of frustrating games where i either kick everyone's butt(swat 3 co-op, i don't go rambo and live longest but at the cost of a boring solo mission which defeats the purpose of co-op in the first place) or get totally trounced(freedom force, where every player has a super super super custom superhero that utterly annihilates my 4 man team of default heroes in 30
