i get updates using stardock central. the latest incremental changes can be gotten instantly this way. avaliable in the downloads section. OR you can wait till they come out in nice packages every few weeks. i think those would be in the downloads too? version number: not sure. there might be a version number somewhere in the main screen when you are playing a game. when you hit escape...
I thought I was being polite. Believe me...I watered down my message considerably. If you want me to be more abrasive, believe me, I can be. my, how fickle the masses are when they are slighted... yay another update? cool thanks! .. bugs fixed quickly? you're the best! .. i don't like this change .. this thing is annoying me .. stardock talking out of both sides of their mouths... .. no idea or concept .. WTF .. lazy programmers .. and customers wonder why developers so rarely talk back. afterall, if they are perceived to make a mistake the customer will be
makes sense. if you made a whole game revolving around economy and business you'd be a fool not to reuse it in a game with a market and economy, comments and all...
is the correct place to email debug.err and galciv.exe.cra (smart exception) files?

i am in the middle of a game where i had a military than the drengin. i paid the drengin off but was so angry that i sent loads of cash and tech to other strong empires so they would make war on the drengin. even some minor races so that their income from trade would get reduced. then i sent all the excess cash i had into destabilizing them. by the time i was done they had a lower military and economy than me.
Just like in real life though, having a strong military is a good idea. If you plan to win at all, you are probably going to have a strong economy. And throughout history, those cultures that had a strong economy but lacked a strong army were typically toast.
yeah, that's one thing i like about galciv: it mirrors real life where just having a strong military but no economy to back it up will not necessarily win. i have been or seen a lot of empires that were attacked by
the one under strategies and mods?
if you click on military project listing above the social projects and you can bring up a military build listing. clicking on a race's picture in the initial raceintelligence and morality settings removes that race. the little arrow next to a ship in the ship listing will move that ship to where you are currently looking at.
does it matter which major races i spend espionage on?
hehe, ironic given your empire. for us lesser players, the challenge was fairly decent. can't wait for the end of the month when i get to share my aar and read others'. i won an alliance vic too.
put huge numbers of culture modules on the terror star and watch as the planets switch. that way, fear will keep the locals in line...
#89 by Citizen dikdirk - 5/22/2003 2:36:57 PM Sorry everyone. I haven't got any time for the GOTM anymore. Is there anyone who wants to keep the website up to date? it is hard to blockade in 3 dimensions. the amount of area to cover a systemis vastly much greater than with an island.
Click on the portrait of the Ambassador on the racial setup screen. First click shows the bio, the second disables the race.
holy spit. was this always there?
odd. the first thing i did was type in the quote /quote with the proper square brackets but it didn't quote but now it works. oh well.

played from 10:00pm to 3:00am non stop. saved twice just in case, but otherwise straight through. got a more exciting than usualy game out of it so yay! i made one big decision in the game that won it for me, it was a little hairy at times but eventually i emerged victorious...end game wasn't that great as i went to the far corners of the map trying to get every last planet, but it had to be done and i did it. odd thing: i won an alliance vic but the cultural conquest message popped up.
