Instead of just showing "AutoPilot" under ships icons, show "AP:XX-YY" where XX-YY is sector co-ordinates. That way if you have a couple of ships headed in the same direction and you need to change one of them (because a resource was taken etc) you can see which ship is headed to what sector.

Also it takes two movement points to destroy two starfighters, but only one movement point to destroy a frigate... Against opponents with poor move rates, it makes a difference LOL Regarding capital ships being slower, you are right in terms of todays major combatant ships. However, the analogy isn't DD and BB class but F-18 and BB class ;) Think of it as being maneuverable rather than fast if that helps.

Up to and including Tough I didn't find much challenge. On Crippling fighting against the 3 alien races at once I've got my hands full and expect I'll lose unless I can broker a peace - they are superior in population, military, production, number of systems and tech :(. Odd to see Drengin as co-belligerents with Altarian and Arcean... So far I've suffered no critical losses because of a flexible defence strategy using battlecruisers, starfighters and survey ships with careful attention

Saw the Torians get 76 Corvettes, it saved them from the Drengin. Wasn't too happy watching them move those ships 1 at a time though LOL If they are all going to the same place it would be nice if the AI used fleets.

I think the early versions didn't submit win info (only N/A showed) and then they changed it so the old games showed Win instead. I also submit all my games, I'm not much interested in bragging rights so no big deal if it's a bad score. Just finished a game at gigantic / painful and didn't find it a challenge which is far more important than any abstract public scoring system...

It's ok on larger maps. I find that on small maps I'll have a plan for each planet and I'm micro-managing everything, taking it slow because each planet matters so much. On large maps you have a completely different economy so you just class your planets (ie hostile border zone, economy-only etc) and run with it. Turns are only a few minutes, although you might need to scribble a few notes (like sector 15,7 starbase = culture). I also like the way minor races can have 2-4 syst

Using propaganda to boost morale on the (few) unhappiest planets allows an overall tax increase for all planets. Don't look at extra tax on the planet where you are doing propaganda, look at your empire income. This isn't SimPlanet LOL

The Drengin are usually a minor race by the time I'm finished "negotiating" with them LOL I've come across Kwilasians, Scottlingas, Paridians, Windischians and Furan. Sometimes there's the I-League and other races that appear through events.

One additional comment... if nothing else, can we at least get a colour-code in the planet list so that morale shows in yellow (like now) by default but in blue when boosted by propaganda?

Has anybody else noticed this? I am building large numbers of constructors, they have speed 2. If I move them manually they move 2 squares and end their movement, but if I set them to auto-pilot and there's a starbase in the 3rd square then the constructor moves 2 squares *and gets an "Upgrade?" pop-up?!? They don't move 3 steps normally, it's just in the final approach to a starbase that they seem to get that free move if on auto-pilot.

Playing Gigantic I found myself losing track of a few things... - Would it be possible to highlight or otherwise mark (* maybe) unique items in the build queue which are already being built elsewhere? Saves me trying to remember which of five unique trade goods I hadn't started building yet... - Propaganda spending seems divorced from the rest of the system. Would it be possible to get a galaxy-wide propaganda spending control (next to the tax and spend sliders) and then let th

For those who liked Master of Magic you could try www.pbegames.com for the Eldritch PBeM which was inspired by MOM. The moderator, Mark, is the best I've come across in twenty years of PBM/PBeM. The game database (magic items, spells, skills etc) has so many years of development in it that MoM just pales by comparison. Forget licensing from Infogrames, just hire Mark instead and bring Eldritch to the PC :)

Finished a game at Challenging a few hours ago. For the final assault on Drengin home systems, I found myself outgunned so I resorted to a bait. Placed 4 combat transports some 8 parsecs out from the enemy systems, waited, waited... and 4 enemy Dreadnoughts came out to destroy my ships! I retreated and kept my distance, drawing the enemy 3 sectors south. With enemy homeworld defences reduced to a couple of Defenders, a few BattleHammers and just 2 remaining Dreadnoughts I then moved in,
