Interesting thread . . . as a long time on (and mostly off) player (going back to the original OS/2 version), I was not prepared for Mega Events. That said, a quick check of the forums set me straight. That said, I shouldn't have to check the forums to figure this out. Maybe the size of the Mega Events could be set via a slider in a future version?

I've noted similar problems with ship/planet icons on the right side of the screen. The problem is worse in the biggest galaxy settings later in the game. Sometimes the icons never "fall" all the way to the bottom of the screen, and get stuck part way down. This wouldn't be such a big deal if you could recall the turn's News window. Working from memory here, so bear with any mangling of actual tech names . . . The last ag tech does not increase food/pop bonus to planet from the previous ag tech level. Confirmed on several different planets, and over the course of several turns.
