Hi! are the Korath dominating every game youu play? Not really dominating, but when they go to war they really kick a.. Would they reinforce those "spored" planets with more troops, instead leaving them at 5M, would they become the worst enemy to fight. BR, Iztok

Hi! This is in a huge galaxy with abundant stars, planets and habitable planets, too. Every time, I got pure junk. Try with smaller galaxies, and you'll much earlier know if you need to restart. You should also adapt to what you get. I remember one DL maso game if which I've been boxed from all sides with only 4 average planets, but with an influence resource. I considered abandoning this game, but decided I'll for the first time try the influen

Hi! I'm mostly playing medium galaxy game, with 5 AI on the latest difficulty level. I set reseach to "very slow". My games last about 5 hours, wich I like ( Ugh, my current medium / all common / slowest tech maso game is at turn 182, I'm playing it for the fourth evening/night (~12 hours alltogether) and not even a third of the tech tree is researched. We're fighting with Harpoons, Singularity drivers and Lasers... IMO the slowest tech g

Hi! No. And the description of the "fix" has me... concerned. IMO it would be better they'd go back to the old combat model. It was significantly less flawed, and made games more interesting. BR, Iztok

Hi! I think part of the reason is that the Drengin may still have a strong military rating Until they have better military score, they don't want the peace. That's the main problem with the AI and warfare. In my current game Drengin had almost triple my military, but my ships were specially designed to counter theirs. I lost only one out of 6, and even that one was because I attacked an armed Space Station. Drengin lost a half of their ships (70 small hu

Hi! Does that mean I can move my spies to other races that I want to spy on? That's the answer I'd like to hear too. However you don't need to have advanced espionage to steal tech with a spy, just to have a spy there. BR, Iztok

Hi! So is this how the AI 'cheats' or am I completely missing something that could increase my production? Altarians have by default 25% research bonus, and depening of the game difficulty AIs get also more bonuses in research, production and economy. What's the altarians' inteligence? You can find that on the Foreign policy window, Stats tab, Misc button. BR, Iztok

Hi! Do MPs convert into credits or do they represent something else? Manufacturing Points are the output of your factories, when you give them money as input. You can "convert" MPs into ships and buildings. If you don't build anything, are those MPs "lost", but you aren't charged for them. And you can't get more money back - those MPs aren't converted into more money. There's also a transfer of MPs from social production into military production, if your

Hi! My computer might be what you call "high end". Sorry, your computer WAS NOT high-end even then you bought it. For playing GC-2 comfortably you need at least 1GB RAM. You have 512MB, and it is even shared with your on-board graphics card. Your comp is fit for up to medium galaxy, nothing more. And be happy if it runs at all: your graphics card should not allow you even that. BR, Iztok

Hi! Does the comp ever break alliances? I've never seen it happen myself. Me neither. But if you don't have a high enough intelligence info on them, the "assasination" even my occur, and it for sure breaks alliance. BR, Iztok

Hi! What are "fake Defenders"? Defenders that are never meant to fight, just to increase your military rating. I use for that a cargo hull with 1 cheapest beam, missile and gun on it. In orbit such a ship shows attack 2 in each category, so it increases your military rating by 6 points. Since military score is calculated as a summ of (all your attack + all defenses + all hitpoints/10), gives such a design the highest bang for the bucks invested. <br

Hi! Can someone provide a few examples of what a newbie needs to know concerning current ship defense rules? You have to put on a single ship about the same amount of defenses as your opponet's fleet has the attack (the treshold is at about 60%), and only so much weapons to kill the whole fleet in less than 50 rounds of battle. If you have more FP you'll take less attrition damage (you'll destroy opponent's ships faster), so you can use fleets of such a

Hi! to compare software with modern art, you would have to have a painting which about 20 different people contributed too Your condition is pretty much met: they had quite some programmers and artists involved in development of this game ... BR, Iztok

Hi! also it would be nice if once apon a time when i build a science capital or the omega lab that i can look and see 3 turns knocked off my research! but no, nothing, always no change IMO you have too many planets. With my 20 planets 1k research had quite an impact, with your 100 it's simply too small to be noticeable. BR, Iztok

Hi! if i have industrial spending at 100%, shouldn't i have ZERO net income No. You have just ordered all factories to work at 100%, and all labs to shut down. This is not connected to your income in any other way but when you run out of cash to fund the spending and go more than 500BC in negative, all production will cese until you have more than -500BC in treasury. Hi! Is there some way to list all of the unowned planets that can be currently colonized? I've faced that problem too. 've been living with two uncolonized class-1 planets close to my empire for more than three game-years. IMO a green/yellow/red icon for ALL (potentially) colonizable planets would be appropriate. Hi! I was under the impression that as my population grew, my taxes would grow and my Social, Militay and Research would grow along with it. Just taxes. The amount of population doesn't have a direct impact on production. if i have 2 - 1000 troop ships, will i attack twice with 1000 each or once with 2000 troops? If they are in a fleet, then 2000M troops. BR, Iztok

Hi! There are only two noticable effects on science progress - 25% anomalies and the economic slider bars. Nothing else has a noticable effect... you can even capture an enemy science capital with a 700 science bonus involved and the noticable effects from it are typically SQUAT! Ermmm, in my previous game when I colonized a class 18 radioactive planet I got a "54% bonus to research" event. And after that a +700% research bonus tile on the surface. Needl

Hi! What I don't understand is how you're supposed to get a race that's twice as powerful as you to agree to an alliance. I mean you have to get relations to close, but even with much of the diplomacy tree reserached I still get neutral at best from a civ that powerful. You have to check what they think of your race. You can find that in the diplomacy window under the third tab. IMO the main obstacle is the "-- your military strenght", that cancels out th

Hi! To be honest I selected rare for everything. How many planets have other players? If most of them are restricted to their home systems and maybe 1 or two more planets, you could still have an intresting game, esp. if you're playing below masochistic. With Humans a viable path would be an alliance victory. I am thinking of concentrating on trade, diplomacy and building up my military Excellent approach. W
