Is there an issue of compatability of old save games with 1.03? Just upgraded to 1.03 and my save game went to heck - the morale on all my planets dropped to 1, my budget went massively negative and the Senate display suddenly showed 4294 Industrialists.

(:( And now, I'm seeing posts saying that many stores in the U.S. are running out of copies - anyone want to guess that availability in Canada will be further delayed while the distributor restocks U.S. retail outlets first?

:sniff!: Frankly, that sucks - I don't see why I should have to spend the extra money for shipping just to get a game that has supposedly been released to the whole North American market.

LOL Even better - we flood the American market with poutine - then when they all collapse from heart attacks - we slip across the border and grab a supply of the game. Cultural translation note for our American friends: Poutine is a food native to the province of Quebec that involves french fries, cheese curds and a ton of gravy.

This is completely ridiculous - I can't find a copy for love or money in Ottawa - anywhere - EB, Compucentre, Future Shop etc. Has anyone gotten any reasonable explanation as to why Canada has apparently been shafted on the distribution? Is it a deliberate choice by the retail outlets or merely negligent incompetence?

I don't know about Southern Ontario. It's still not in Eastern Ontario (Ottawa) as far as I can tell.

Anyone have any further information from the distributor or EB as to why at least certain parts of Canada (Montreal, Ottawa and Winnipeg) are being left out of the initial distribution of the game?

:sniff!: EB in Ottawa was saying April 6 last night - I got nothing but blank stares when I asked why the rest of North America was apparently getting the game a week and 1/2 earlier. Hopefully it will show up earlier than that.
