mods pack in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

is there something like mods pack out there? i have a fresh GC install (with all updates of course), and i dont want to manually download 200 files :( i couldnt find anything like that in the net or on these forums (i've found only people asking about the same thing)

i wonder whats new in 1.02.041 in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

i have the same problem... and i cant even put files manually to temp dir, where it is being downloaded :( if i put files there, SDC just replace them with the same name and size... and i have 3KB/s download speed. oh well. no big problem for me, i can leave it for night, but for them is a lot of bandwitch lost... anyways, good work again with new update so soon :) but please do something with this problem, it has been around from the launch of the game (or maybe even longer i dunno :) )

im updating from 1.02.036 to 1.02.037 and i have to download all 84MB again. (not the first or second time :( ) anybody knows why?

i *think* that AI can see resources that are close to their planets (even if they are not in sensor range). at least thats what i noticed, but im just guessing... and im 100% sure that in some situations, when resources are far away, AI cant see them until it explores it

sure, if they know this galaxy, and know where are yellow stars, why shouldnt they know about good resources? it is logical :) but i just didnt know that in some situations they know :) now its clear, thank you

i pity him too and i dont want to send him more work... i dont mind if he just ignore it :) its rather a question to community that to a very busy developer who gives us patch almost every day :) but if he asks, i can send it at any time :)

They (altarians) couldnt becouse i can see their survey ship going north of their home planet. theoretically their survey ship could jump in one wormhole near the resource, and then jump in another wormhole just a little north of the home base, but then - doesnt a wormhole teleport you to a random position every time it is used? i thought so - and if so, then it is not possible becouse it happens every time... also, i thought wormholes usually teleports you to a place in some distance from where

i agree that it is possible to produce many constructors/colony ships very quickly, or to have much money (from really good economy) or do other stuff that looks like cheating - but is not. but this ? i was looking at this game session VERY carefully becouse i read many post saying AI is cheating or not cheating. most of the situations AI is not cheating, but i think in this - it is. this is just my thought, i may be wrong :) but please, if you care, show me im wrong. becouse if it wasnt wormhol

it is unlikely becouse survey ship comes from the direction of altarian home planet, and is going somewhere up. also it is more than 5 small sectors from the resource (his sensor range). if it would go thru wormhole, i would have seen it becouse its just near my base. also it happens every time i load this save (this is save from turn 0). i can send it to anybody, if anybody cares :) altarian doesnt have any scout...

i just wonder, i started a game on small galaxy with other races set to intelligent. i have technology resource just near my base, after few turns (5-6) i can actually see two altarian constructors coming to it. i havent seen them having any scout or any orher ship coming near (and i moved my ship to see is there any). nope, they are just coming straight to the resource, that is in another sector, even with +sensors they couldnt see it without moving a ship in that direction. and they didnt... m

also - you may try to change to Atlanta server if you are on California - sometimes california doesnt see new patches (at least it was this way few days ago)

actually multiple wonders is fixed for me... i was building diplomatic translators, and when it was half done, drengin just finished it, the next turn i had social building queue empty... and of course no option to build it, so i guess its fixed, at least for diplomatic translators ;)

i have been sleeping for like 3-4 hours in last few days (usually i am sleeping for 7-8 hours every night ) which is 4-5 hours less of sleeping! i want my sleep back stardock! and even if it wasnt been enough - last night i had a dream, something about trading with altarian republic (bizzare). god dammit ;)
