I would be greatful for a galaxy overview screen to the side when I am in the planetary production screen so that I can orient myself. Right now one must depend on memory as to whether the current planet is on the front lines or in the rear. Yes a list of the planets in the system, which we have now, along with an overview map would be invaluable.

When I load a saved game I have noticed that sometimes my Influence takes an immediate and drastic hit but recoups over a couple of turns. My income seems off on occasion as well. Is the game saving data correctly or is my imagination at work?

"Citizen Boracks said; "Played my first wargame (Avalon Hill's "Stalingrad") when I was 13. Now 47 and still gaming." My first wargames were their versions of "D-Day" and "Africk Corps" or whatever their Rommel in the desert game was called. Great fun. Trying to figure out "Hearts of Iron" lately. It's a bit intimadating at this late age in life. Elrikk" Ah, yes. For me it was AH Gettysburg, floowed by the above as soon as my group coul

Bump...yeah, what fleabitfox said. Someone who really knows needs to spell it out completely in unambiguous language. Please use simple words, the fewer syllables, the better.

I have seen wampyre's name on the boards of other games, so I don't think he is a newby or incompetent. And after I had my first three games ended by the Draginol or Dark Lords, I felt Exactly as he did. However, the patch fixed the problem before I boiled over. As a matter of fact, it appeared to me to be an easily patchable problem, which is why I stuck with it after the first two tries. If the MOO3 people had issued small patches that fixed their most egregious problems, they could have prese

With potentially hundreds of empires I would really, really like to see a LOT more than just the top 10 empires. Make a BIG scrolling map showing most of the empires and, perhaps, a smaller "strategic map" with just the largest 30 or 40.

Needed: 1. Zip downloads for updates for those of us with dial-up internet access. That way we can update the game without an inpossibly large download if we need to re-install the game in a year or two. 2. Give us the ability to turn some or all of the random events on/off during the game set-up. This should impact the score. 3. Have the game save scores locally so that we can upload them at our convenience. 4. Use the right-click on the mouse! I should be ab

With the grand score of about 214 or something and one game submitted, I can say that I look forward to and expect the scoring to take into account: 1. All games played, win or lose 2. Difficulty level 3. galaxy size 4. number of turns played 5. Total pop, R&D levels, military, etc. 6. perhaps a small bonus for being the winner

From Popup Target: "(H) Distribute the money to other planets that *DO* have something in the social/military queue as appropriate, and if it maxes out every planet's queue capacity, don't spend it. They say that there is no corruption in this game, but they're wrong. Our planetary govenors are pocketting the taxpayer's money if they don't have something to spend it on. Definitely don't bank it, not even at a depreciated rate, that would screw up wonder/trade goods races. As it stands, t

Ancient Warrior makes an excellent suggestion. Also, it appears far too easy to accidentally make irrevocable decisions. Particularly, there does not appear to be a way to "undo" a build once you have started it. Accidentally starting a build on turn one or two can destroy your treasury because you can't undo it...or can you? And...colonisation. I keep accidentally colonising really bad planets. How about a pop-up or an option to have a pop-up to confirm things like colonising

I cannot seem to find GalCiv at Walmart, CompUSA or Best Buy. No EBs around here, either. So....where can I get it? Can I download it at work over our T1 and then move the files to my PC at home and activate it there?
