At the moment there is only 2 bows, so there is not much you can do. Hopefully, there will be some higher level bows in a patch. I think a couple of mods have some more bows though.
Bill Farrar
Level 1: Local Tax Office - This collects 1 Gildar per turn from the local neighborhood. This can be built once in each city once you acquire the Civics tech, and will automatically upgrade to the City Tax Office once you acquire the Administration tech and reach city level 2. Level4: Regional Tax Office - This collects 4 Gildar per turn from all the cities and farms in the region in which it's built. This can be built once in each city
Probably a silly question, but I only need to download the latest version of your patch, right? Because you show 6 different versions to download.
The highest essence a kid of mine had was 22. I feel so inferior.
But why the units folder? Wouldn't it go in the quests folder?
Quoting Bill Farrar, reply 3 Looks good, but I can't find the units folder. Can you give a full path? Vista/7 C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Elemental\Units
Ah, Documents, notv Program Files. Thank you very much.

[e digicons]XD[/e] Great picture.
Those are good. You should put them in the mods section. I can never think of a good backstory.
I feel cheated now. My first kid had an intelligence of 10 and an essence of 1.
I just researched one of the Adventure techs to get new quests and it made a giant statue appear next to my capital. It basically looks like I founded the city 50 feet from a 200 foot statue and then didn't notice it for 10 years. Maybe I thought it was a funny looking tree or something. Has anybody else had weird stuff like that happen?
What's the exact research item?
You have to research the Adventure techs. Read the tech descriptions and some of them say that they open up quests.
What's frustrating is that even though the children's ages go up much more quickly than their parents, is that it still takes FOREVER for them to grow up at all. I have played several games for a couple of hours and still not had a baby older than 13 or 14, with Fast pace and getting married on turn 1.
How did you get married on turn 1? They always tell me I need a better reputation.;
I have a group of 8 or 9 people exploring the wilderness and I was wondering if there was a way to control how they appear on the combat map? I would like to have it so the spellcasters and people with bows appear in the second rank and the meelee types aqre in the front rank. Is there a way to specify this?
Just wondering, how far apart do you guys put your cities? Do you try to overlap your influence or spread them out? Also, how soon do you build new cities? I am abover 200 turns in and am just now building a pioneer.
Keep getting messages likes "Billybob's daughter has come of age" but my character is still single. I must be missing something...how do I get a spouse?
It might be worth playing am female ruler because then you get a lot of candidates for marriage. Male characters seem to outnumber female by 10 to 1. You can't up and marry some random peasant woman either, it has to be a named champion.
I have had that happen to me with the Drengin.
This is a bug that is supposed to be fixed in the version 1.1 patch
As far as I know, you don't get to see your own portrait. Still I like to think the AI's are looking at something other than that wire portrait.
You have to lower them about 10 turns before you ask for the vote. And drop them until you have about 80% approval. Then you should able to get a vote for your naked aggression. Ur, I mean justified peacekeeping in a lawless region.
Does anyone know how the game figures out a races military rating? I started a war with 20 warships and a rating of 99. I now have 150 warships and my rating has dropped to 40. The Drengin on the other hand are at a military raing of 200. Do they really have 5 times as many ships as me?
I have had the mouse lockup problem too. I always have to reboot my computer to fix it. I will have to try that mouse setting to hardware trick and see if it works.
In my current I came across a couple of class 26 planets. Yummy
I am now a couple of hundred turns into a game in a huge galaxy with all races. Several of the races only have 2 or 3 planets at this point. There don't seem to have been any wars, they just don't seem to be colonizing. The Altairians and Drengins are expanding Ok, but the Iconians and Draths and Yor seem to be having problems. Anybody else notice this? I don't know if its a bug or just something that happens sometime. I am playing on normal.
