Well, I've got one done, and it's on my site. It's called NanoTechnology, and it adds 8 news things: 2 techs, 3 sbmodules, 1 wonder, 1 tradegood & 1 invtactic. Like usual, there's a nice detailed readme.txt in the zip, and if you've got any problems with it, send me an email and let me know, I'll fix them asap. [Message Edited]

Since it seems that StarDock is gonna be a while in releasing the addon I've been waiting for, and since I've finally gotten some new ideas, I'll be working on 2 new mods, both of which will add new tech-trees into the game, as well as imps and sbmodules, and possible a wonder or two. :) Be on the look-out for updates to this post, as I will tell you all in here when I release them. For those of you who don't know my webpage, it's at: http://mrbots666.tripod.com/index.html
Originally, the Cheat Station was made so I could easily make/test new mods without having to play through from the beginning and deal with all the building up stuff, just to make sure if one of my new mods is working properly. I figured that I can't be the only person on the planet that enjoy's cheating at games, so I posted it. I think the reason that planetary spending increases, is because of the sudden increase in PQ. This is only speculation, but it makes sense. A small, crappy pl
Go right ahead. The more people that use them and enjoy them, the more likely I am to continue making them. :)
I hadn't noticed an increase in planet spending, since by the time I've got one of these built, I'm already spreading across the galaxy like a plague. I'll take a look at it and see if I can figure out the problem. For the time being, think of it as a way for the game to punish your for your cheating. :)
That's exactly why I made it. :) I figured, what's the point in allowing those planets in the game, if you are unable to make good use of them. I'm glad you guys enjoy my mods. That's why I make em. I plan on making more after the big addon is released. Til then, I guess I'll just assimilate more aliens. :)
For those of us out there who like to cheat in our games, of for those of us that just like to tinker with things, if you go into your English.str file, you can modify the costs for the racial abilities, plus alot of other stuff. It's a pretty big file, and I haven't looked through most of it yet, but who knows what might be hiding in there? :)
Also, I've added a "cheat-mod" I made to the site. This mod I've appropriatly named CheatStation, and it basically makes the game insanely easy. I just kinda made this one for the hell of it, and you probably shouldn't use it if you plan to submit your games to the Metaverse. Enjoy. :)
I've made a new modpack, filled with a bunch of addon starbase modules. You can get it, plus the updated Enhanced Terraforming mod at the following link. Enjoy. http://mrbots666.tripod.com/index.html
Well, for some reason you can't d/l the file directly from that link. So, use this new link and that'll take you to the page I had to throw together so they'd let you guys download the file. http://mrbots666.tripod.com/index.html
I've update my Enhanced Terraforming mod to balance the PQ bonuses a bit. Follow the link to get the new version. http://mrbots666.tripod.com/EnhancedTerraForming_1.1.zip
Terrostar info is in the coremodules.sbmodules file. Just open it and search for Terror. JoB
You can just modify the cost of ability picks in the English.str file, and make everything cost 1 point. That's what I did. It makes testing out new mods easier. :) p.s. I don't post cheated games.
Yep, that's how I fixed it. :)
A quick question. The AI setting in the imp files, does a lower number mean that the AI will build it sooner, or is it higher? I'm wanting to know how to make it so the AI will have a lesser chance of building a certain improvment that I've made.
Nevermind, I just fixed the problem. I didn't see the Uninstall option for the bonuspack in SDC. :p
I've recently reinstalled GalCiv several times, all of which were during a few bug-hunts I've recently undergone, and I've now noticed that I no longer have any of the additions from the bonuspack(s). My SDCentral says I've already got it installed, but I do not have the files, and I don't know how to use the archived copy I made of the bonuspack. If anybody knows how I can get the bonuspack again, please let me know.
I found/fixed the problem with my copy of the Orbital Biospheres mod, and if anybody wants the new one, just send me an email and I'll send you a copy. Or, you can just open your copy of the orbitalbiosphere.imp file, and change the line that says "IMPROVEMENT OrbitalHospital" to say "IMPROVEMENT OrbitalBiosphere".
First of all, thanks for using my mods. I'm glad you enjoy them. :) Secondly, Enhanced Terraforming is supposed to make it so you can colonize those unusable worlds. That's also why it takes so long to build it once you've got it. I've had several games where I've gotten cornered early on, and have to use the worlds the AI won't use so I can atleast have a chance at winning. I am, however, planning on reworking them a little bit, cause I've gotten upto class 90+ on some of my games, and
I think you need to add a "StarbaseAttack" ability & "ResearchAssist" ability to the SBMODULE files. :)
I tend to play on Gigantic maps, so I can have fun torturing the alien's civilizations before I assimilate them into my own. :)
Cool, thanks for the info! I already reinstalled the game so I could play while you took a look at it, but I'm gonna put all my mods back now. Thanks again for your help. :)
I sent you the files, hopefully you can figure it out. :)
Yes! Everything Henrik just said needs to be done. I've got the same cascading errors problem with my GalCiv, and it has given me the same starbase modules error that Tonmoril is experiencing, as well as removing all the resources from my universe. If not a fix/patch, then a seperate util to auto-check syntax and let you know exactly what part of the file is causing the error(s).
The playlist I'm currently using is full of songs with spaces in their names, as well as all being very long filenames. The only difference I can think of is the underscore "_" that you have in that mp3s filename. That may be the cause of your problems, but I could also be very wrong. :)
