Conquering Planets in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

What determines how many troops you go up against when you invade a planet? I'm playing on the easy levels still, and I'm finding planets that are defended by anywhere between 59 and 129 billion troops. Since the transports only hold 1 billion at a time, that's ALOT of troop transports. Is this normal?

Terror Stars in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I created a few Terror Stars (3) and they were all invisible. Are they supposed to be invisible? They had the cursor around them as if they were there, and I could move them, I just couldn't see them. Also, after I made the third one, the game seemed to get locked into a loop.
