I am running Win7(64) and played this game until the game locked up. I kept saving until I got to when the lock up happens as soon as I hit next turn. Maybe it will help in some way. http://filebin.ca/wpstsh/Crash.zip
I have a lot of CTDs. Sometimes in game, sometimes from the main menu when loading up the game, just about everywhere. I had not thought to try something like this, but if it makes the game finally playable, I going to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, trekwiz. I did not realize that I was not logged into the game. I thought I was since I was "logged" into Impulse.
I have been getting this error since the n/o Beta weirdness of last week. I uninstalled an re-installed a few times and I am logged into Impulse properly. No firewall blockage or Anti-virus. Everytime I get the "Failed to download data file" message when trying to get the game running. Any suggestions on how I can get the game running besides reinstalling again and again? I really hope 1.1 is good.
I am a big fan of the concept of having genealogy and a lineage in the game. It has the potential to add a longterm strategic elements and it was something I really enjoyed in Crusader Kings. I just wish it was more then just some extra units and a way to score some diplomatic points. I was hoping to see more of a Royal Court in some way. I would like to shape the next generation and it would be great to see my Kingdom passed on if I had a prepared
the slider for changing planet spending to increase morale should really go on the first page of teh planet view, not on the details page
I am playing with the most recent match .1a. Is their a place where you can change the name of a planet? I clicked on the sol system and decided not to rename and it renamed earth. my precious blue marble! also when i click on the I league in the diplomacy screens I get a missing string msg.
i got my copy at the EBX in the embarcadero center. their is also an EB downtown I think at powell.

i had the same thing happen to me with the zoo..those monters can really cause problems. whenever they appear i just cross my fingers and hope they pick on something else. Does anyone know what they are motivated by or attracted to? Or do they just destroy?
