Be sure to create a sound scheme as well - the skirl of pipes when opening, closing, rolling up or maximizing a window. That's a great way to keep the cats away from your monitor, too.
Fortunately Jafo isn't one of those people who confuses *having* a big one with *being* a big one.
So was the second "Second Foundation" before or after the first "Second Foundation"?
Yep, but with OS10 do you really need or want to? Unless, of course, you are trying to disguise the fact that you have a Mac.
You can use Object Dock or an LS theme to make your PC look more like a Mac, but forget trying to go the other direction.
I could count all the games I've bought on the fingers of one hand, so it's not likely I've encountered those nasty little beasts. I can always use my non-LS admin account for that kind of stuff. I use it mainly to run windows update and to play with Stardock-only customizations. I always come back to LS for some reason though... must be my love of text based config files, born of long years suffering with *nix OSs. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/lol.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm
I'm not knocking any of the OD stuff, BTW, as I'm an OD subscriber and use many Stardock proggies - that's why I'm here. I just like the wide-open flexibility I can get using LS. My current desktop was created using the graphics from treetog's CopperDeckII skin. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0
Uhmm, which ones would that be? I use all the MS office apps, Trillian, AIM, SmartFTP, PSP7, IDL, etc., and I can't say I've encountered anything that is unhappy about not having explorer running.
LiteStep is *not* trouble - I've been using it for a couple of years now. More fun than most games, if you ask me. I betcha Jafo thinks it's OK, too. The 0.24.7 is on Phil Stopford's (sp?) site - related to Leaf R&D. They've used LS heavily to create their customized desktop environment.
BTW, did you happen to see my comment in the bird thread, Frogboy? No? Good!!
That could be a tremendous boon to the US economy (and the rest of the world, too!) if it proves to work as economically as they claim it does. Definitely a company (and technology) to watch.
That's what I call having a "Byte" to eat...
Next thing you know he'll just be an emoticon with no name at all...
treetog - do you have to get *into* the tank in order to dance with the fish? Perhaps that is why it is so large?
Perhaps we should add a link for Omar's installer? That's probably the best way for a newb to get started with the lowest probability of them having a "I have to reinstall windows? (NOT)" heart attack.
The very latest Litestep executable is available here: http://leaf.terica.net/litestep.html You can get a "theme" providing a particular graphical look and feature set from the Litestep section of this site.
But the Litestep section links to litestep.com, which hasn't been active for quite some time. I don't think it's even reachable right now. Can someone change that link to point to Litestep.net, shellfront.org, blizzle or someplace more appropriate? Please?
C'mon Jafo - remember where you are? You don't want to sit on him hard. You want to skin him alive.
Bangers and mash? Sounds illegal.
Possible means that there is a non-zero chance or probability that something will happen; how large a probability that is isn't specified. Probable implies that it is more likely than not that it will happen, or a probability larger than 50%. I think that's about it in a nutshell. HTH
I don't think it quite fits the wholesome theme of these message boards, though. A fowl joke is OK every once in a while, though.
Obviously wiz-op and photo-op are not derived from their root words by the same procedure. I believe Jafo is very "relieved" by that.
Frogboy, you're not Catholic, are you? Catholics are frequently molested by cardinals... Oops, I'd better go hide now...
Dark Mist - you should have said "watchdog".
