Map Making - Is it working after the update to 1.1 in War of Magic Stardock Forums

After updating this morning to version 1.1 I went to the cartographers section and attempted to edit a random map. 1: I generated several maps fine. 2: I was unable to add items, land or anything else to the map. It has been a long time since I used Elemental and maybe I forgot something. I tried slecting the tool and the clicking, right clicking, and other key combinations but none of the tools seemed to work. Any ideas?

I have had this happen in the map editor also. I have had maps where I placed everything by hand - not randomly. Save it. Then reload it later to make some updates and it has some new shards placed on it. It happens more frequently than not. I have not seen it during the game so far.
