I'm not familiar with the Geoforce 6100 vid chip, so I don't know if it is Direct X 9 compliant or not. I do know the minimum specs Stardock gives for system memory is 512 Mb, and the system you are looking at only has 256 Mb, and if I am reading it correctly, the 6100 is built in to the motherboard and shares memory with the rest of the system. bought and tried to install the game, but it will not work! When I click on the install button it hangs. I have noticed the program is 'Not Responding' when the Windows Task Manager is active. Does the type of freighter make any difference in game terms? I am under the impression that the freighter routes are just that, routes, and the freighters you see are there for eye candy and to give you something to attack when at war.

If you want the CE stuff, you need to buy the CE edition. Wallmart only sells the CE edition. Stardock (the developers) also only sells the CE edition. Other places will be hit and miss, and some retailers don't differentiate between the two versions in their inventory, so the only way to be sure to is eye ball it. Brad has said Wallmart has only ordered the CE edition. Or you can just buy direct from Stardock and not worry about which version you will get. If you order the boxed version from Stardock, you can even download and start playing right away. Tony
