A Clean boot is an excellent idea: thank you. But it is a time-consuming and problematic diagnostic, and rather backwards in having to start from scratch. CoPilot AI has had many other suggestions that are less irksome. So far, I've found nothing that is preventing taskbar pinning.

Neil, thank you for your reply. YamicSoft Windows Manager has a tool for creating a "jumplist" on the taskbar and that does not work either. I have no idea what is causing the taskbar pinning blockage and I know everything running on my computer. If you have any constructive diagnostics or known problematic programs I'd be delighted to know of them.

" What other software do you have running?" Seriously? Looking to blame something other than the source of the problem? I'm looking for some constructive suggestions/support, not a silly fishing expedition by someone who knows nothing on the subject. Taskbar pinning is a convenient feature for me and I have studied both potential causes (and thereby solutions) and alternatives to Start11 for this feature. But thank you for the reply.</s

Uninstalling and reinstalling had no effect on not being able to pin folders. The group policy editor is not blocking this pinning. Perhaps this supposed feature no longer works with Start11 because of recent OS updates.

Thank you for your reply. I know about zoom mode (2 icon sizes). See picture, where the zoom mode is shown, but distant icons are smaller (36 px) than the 70 pixels they are set to. I have not seen the icon movement again. The "show indicator under running programs" does not seem to work, or at least is not discernible. There are "advanced tweak" options which are inscrut

Thank you for a reply. Am running Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22631, build 22631. The dock is a quick-launch dock. Having set up an order for ObjectDeck icons, saw some icons move from that order to appear at the bottom of the menu. I noticed this when ObjectDock was set to show on the right of the screen (vertical arrangement). The dock was set autohide. Also, the icons show smaller (36 px) than the set icon size (70 px).

Thank you Basj. I have an active Object Desktop subscription. Could not upgrade using Object Desktop. What did work was downloading the apps (Fences 5, Start 11 v2) and installing them, using my Object Desktop license code for registration.

Thank you for the reply. The link given to download AnimStrip is no good. AniTuner looks like it may do the job: Create animated cursor for Windows 11/10 with AniTuner (thewindowsclub.com). There is also RealWorld Cursor Editor, which seems somewhat more rinky-dink: RealWorld Cursor Editor - make animated cursors (rw-designer.com)<

I've been looking for information on how to create an animated cursor for CursorFX. Two useful pages have been https://forums.stardock.com/447934/cursorfx-creating-your-own-custom-cursor-theme and https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/help/editor.htm. But creating an animated cursor involves a strip of images within a single .png file. Two utilities for creating animated cursors are mentioned on various web pages: AniUtil.exe and AnimStrip.exe. Where can I find either of these or some ut

Group 2 is extremely convenient, thanks to a rather amazing user interface that makes grouping easy. Congratulations on another great product! (Yes, I'm just a software user who feels gratitude for productivity tools.)

Thanks for the reply, but huh? What does the response mean? The monitor I'm using is connected via HDMI. Oh, and adapter switches (such as recommended) seldom work. I wonder why they are even sold.

Thanks for the reply. The suggested help page (thread) had no relevant information. I can see a mouse cursor when switching to secondary, but the screen is gray (and my computer is in terminal limbo). I'm sharing the same monitor/keyboard/mouse on both computers using a hardware KVM switch. The screen is large (3840x2160).

Am configured to connect to the 2nd computer using KVM mode. All I get when trying to connect to the 2nd computer is a blank gray screen (from which the 1st (primary) computer cannot recover without a hard reset). In other words, this product does not appear to work at all. Any ideas please?
