i'm with kane on this. What the dev's are doing to me sounds great but its not my play-style at all. I like to secure an area, fortify it, and then only move back to that area if i am overwhelmed, or flanked etc. I find games where i have to defend everything, all the time actually stressful. If i was good at it, i'm sure i would enjoy it, but i don't. FA, and to a lesser degree soase don't reward me for this approach, but they also d

it was a large contributing factor. feeling anything for either of those games is very hard. I would never under estimate the power of the artwork used in games and media etc. SC2, yes its main failure, being dumbed down for mass appeal. The Ashes eco system looking like its going to be based on a well founded system, but plenty of potential for this to become a land grab = win scenario. I love long games. Mainly because if i want to be stressed out and make quick decisions i go to work. 1 hours travel for a unit to cross a map is good. i remember 64MB maps for TA being seen as insane. If there are units with significant range, a decent ferry system maybe enhanced from SC:FA, and possibly teleportation from structures, then i see no issue. If the engine can handle it, then you should build it. Potentially then you may have a campaign on just one map!?</

They give you no real depth, or want to level them up or keep them alive because they all look like plastic. I know we all have our own ideas but heres a few suggestions if i may. Units need to look used, and realistic for the era targeted. S
