I believe the economic might is measured by how much you are making in total (that is to say before you pay for production/maintenance). I was making 500+ bc per turn AFTER paying for production, research & maintenance. Shouldn't my economic might be more than 100? There is also a tab for treasury that lets you know how much money each civilization has saved in their tresury. Is this

Under the stats & graph tab, you get to see how your military, economic etc might compares with other civilization. The thing is, why do I only have an economic might of 92 when I'm making 500++ bc per turn?? How does the economic might indicator calculate? My tax rate was at 40%, spending rate at 100% and 50% to social production & 50% to research.

Sector 1-3 is in the area of the Korath, and it's where Korath and Dread Lord ships are floating area. I tried researching full life support and rushing my colony ship to sector 1-3 but before I could reach there, it got shot down by Dread Lord ships

How did you guys just send any ship to sector 1-3 without any development? Within the 1st 10 turns, there are already dread lord ships floating around with 350++ mass driver dmg, taking out my colony ship as I got nearer to sector 1-3!!

Got a question hoping someone can provide an answer... In dark avatar when you play a sandbox game, you get to choose a race to play as. Then you decide who are the opponents. Each individual opponent can be edited and within the editing process, there is a 'abilities' panel. All races have their own unique abilities, and also 10 extra points to add. Question is, if I leave out the 10 extra points, will the game allocate itself when I start the game? OR do I have to allocate t

Yes! I got the planet. All I did was conquer as many planets as I could. In this way, the Korath could not develop their ships fast enough. I managed to overpower them militarily and once I had ships strong enough to take out the Dread Lords' defensive, I made a final push and got the planet!

Hmmm... I dun have such problems on my games. When I lose a planet, I can still see the planet but it's in fog of war.

Any GalCiv2:DA players from Asia? I thought maybe we could set up an empire as we live close by. I'm from Singapore and hope to see fellow asians posting on this thread.

I just tried this mission again and I must really take my hats off for the AI. In early game, both the korath and dread lords attacked my planets with missile weapsons (10+ missile dmg from korath & 400+ missle dmg from dread lords), with a few points of mass driver defenses. So I build my ships with beam weapons and point defenses to counter their missile weapons. In mid game to my horror, the dread lords maintained their huge (400+) missile weapons without much defenses but the korath

I'm just wondering, is it better to totally fit a ship with only offensive weapons, such as beam weapons, than having both offensive and defensive parts on a ship? By focusing, you can actually place more of a particular part then splitting the slots available on both offense and defense. In other case, should a ship have more offensive weapons, or defensive parts? Any comments? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So I should work on my defense first, and then build up my ships size and offensive weapons? I tried rush tactics once but the ships defending the planet I'm suppose to take over were way too strong. Seems like I'll have to take my time to develop a strong army before attacking the planet. However, while doing this, the Korath and Dread Lords kept sending their ships taking out my planet defenses, which were way too weak in early game. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/SadAng

Does anyone have any strategies to complete this mission? Early in the game, the dread lords came attacking my planets with a 175 missile att ship! How do I defend against them? When I click on the planet I'm suppose to take over, I see two 400++ missile att ship defending it! Someone help me... =D Is the AI cheating or is it true the Dread Lords have super abilities where they can have such high att ships early in the game?
