It would also be interesting if the advantage (at least where applicable could be a small range to add some uncertainty. (research +18-22% instead of 20% for an example). Some of the events have a + or - in them (they may be mods, I installed a few)--makes you think a bit more.

I submitted my first game, a 77! I have 4 wins but have gone through hell getting a fifth because I cannot resist upgrading each time and my strategy is falling behind somehow(i.e. losing, losing, losing). My last game (using First 1.03 upgrade) was a lowly 1600+.

Interesting, I sort of thought that it is my style vs the ai (i tend to turtle) that is getting me in trouble. I have allied (me in 2nd and ~equal to Drengin #1) with the 3rd almost = power and still been hosed in essentially a 2-to-1. I keep playing though...

I realize that they are the developers favorite but this is really not fun. Every game (nearly) they are dominant in every category very quickly. As soon as they meet me they attack. I am as strong or better but if i drop a tiny bit, here they come. and this is with all the other civs virtually a flat line in mil strength. I was using hammers to hold 'em of but guess what, NERFED. So far, all my tools have been nerfed (PQ15, starbases/culture, hammers) but overall I still admire the level of sup

First off, let me add my voice to those saying do not assume victory until you are actually there. I have done well at times until the very end, then wham! Brad has stated IFAIK that depending on difficulty, the ai may plan up to 25 moves ahead, with a plan suddenly comming to fruition and changing things. I agree that this appears to happen regularly. My question is the sudden downturns. I am on subnormal large and doing very well. Suddenly, I notice that I am negative bc from a thousa

From Brad: Base Morale 89% Planet Class / Morale Bonuses / Adjusted Morale 15 0 89% 16 7 96% 17 14 103% 18 21 110% 19 29 118% 20 36 125% 21 44 133% 22 51 140% 23 59 148% 24 67 156% 25 75 164% 26 84 173% So here you can see how morale is affected by planet class. The planet class is very key to determining how useful the planet is.

Spoiler Space . . . . . . . . . . . . . What is the draginol. I was down to whomping the Drengin (my dreads to his battle-cruisers) to end the game and they got it. Now I am in negative cash even though my economics show large positive cash flow. My morale has plummeted to 20 from 60 Where it was for most of the game (taxes at 20%). All in a few turns. Is this related or what?
