But I have my problems with starforce: - First of all they look dam unprofessional to me. Look at their support forum. Even if most of the complainers are some kind of jerks. The way they respond doesn´t give me much confidence if I have a real problem. - No game for 50$ is worth potentially mess up my computer system outside the game - No software I buy has a right to tell me which other programs should be installed on my computer - Programs with sta

For sure there are things in the game I personally don´t like. The devs put up a thread to put ideas in there and I am really confident that from time to time they read it if something new and shiny comes up. IMHO I got a really nice game for a really acceptable price. Great support from the devs and I am looking forwrad to the additions they promisded along the lines. Until then I have fun
No game crashes but from times to time the music skips... Every 2-3 minutes the music stutters for a moment/some videos stutter along as well. No big thing perhaps somebody could point out whats the cause. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Debug Message: Version v1.0X.1 last updated on: Mon Mar 6 13:57:14 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a
Make "rushbuying" more expensive as a last resorts or put a slider somewhere to modify it. IMHO its much to cheap tu rush buy things. costs should be at least 5x-10x the normal prize. Last resort more then common practice.
I would like see something like a patent system: If you buy a tech and trade it around you would get a high penalty in your diplomatic relations blueprint system: buying tech should give you an advantage if you want to research a tech but you should at least do some of the work on your own still (for example 30%-50% of the original research). Giving away tech should carry some internal penalties as well: Something it costs you
Having games , music etc is not a requirement to survive, though it its much more like nice to have. On the other hand people who are used pirate software, games music usally later on buy these things when tey have the money. (At least from my experience) What I miss from my young days is goodies: Anybody remembers the old text adventures like : Hitchikers Guidle" "Leather godesses of Phobos" , The old Ultima games with maps etc. MOM with their spellbooks ?<
I got my copy as well from play.com and I dare to say the steelbox looks even nicer then the US release of the game. Besides we got all the collector edition items. One advice: Use Stardock central to register and update your game. It works like a charm
And space is such an empty place. I like GalCiv2 a lot. First time I time zoomed in on Jupiter I was in love. Its simply beautiful. Still the galactic map is a little bit to empty for me. Where are the dust clouds which prevent scanners? Where are these huge asteroid fields which block movement (If you can see planets….) Or where are black holes which ships to pass to nearby if they don´t have an advanced engine and slowly suck surrounding starbases /sun and pl
I would like to see a little tweak to the slider system. Spending 100% in military then switching to 100 % research then going the next turn for 100% social. Imagine yourself if it would work this way in real life now is the year of research now we are going to a military build up etc? I thibnk such a switch should scale up. If I switch from 100& research to 100% social production spending then I would like that he spending change does not work immeadtly. With other words such a huge switch
Aehmmm, try buying from Stardock... Take a look at Walmart .... Buy from Paradox....
Perhaps its possible to scale down the numer of peple a little bit.... 80 million soldiers attacking... Colonies with 3,5 billion people after a "few" years.... It destroys for me alittle bit the "feeling" of reality.

Much much higher cost for buying equipment : Buildings ; ships and perhaps you should need at least some groundwork (certain production put in) Even with the resources of a planet how do you instant create buildings ships? OK perhaps if you spend 100x the normal cost... I think instant buy should be some kind of real emergency tool and not a common affair. Slow down the Starships: feels like walking down to the end of town and not sending out Starhips to the end of the galaxcy... <b
@ Alfonse There is a small programm you can download for free in Stardock central which will create a log though the programmers can sort out what happens if your game crashes and why. A few years ago with GalCiv 1 I got a resposnse and personal suggestions within 48 hours from Stardock (was kind of impressive for me) Besides I think you forget that games are a. much more complex then they had been a few years ago b. the computer hardware is much mor
Well, while we wait Stardock can squash the few remaining bugs... The Paradox online shop shipped their boxes on 24.2. the "normal " retailers will get their stuff on the 3.3.2006.
Life is cruel. Release date for us Euros has moved from 24.2.2006 to the 3.3.2006
Well, I hope my game will run with 2003 drivers. Simply because I have an obscure graphich card in there (ATI 9600+ for MEdion) . New ATI drivers from their website crash my computer instantly. WEll, I will see and debug.

Just want to express how grateful I am regarding the way Stardock handles copy protection, backups of serials and downloading of the game. That we European customers will be able to download the "bonus content" because Stardock tracks the serials: How cool is that?
2 Laptops here. I really like it when the system requirements are down. I think sometimes the game industry is a little bit mad going for higher and higher requirements. Right now I think 97% of the high end computers you need only to play games all the other stuff runs well on my low end laptops.

"Group #2 won't start on that until the end of 2007 and in the meantime will likely be on projects 1 or 3. If we get enough people, we also want to do a fantasy strategy game (we've long been in talks to do a sequel to a certain well known fantasy turn based game but there's been little movement on there due to some of the legal requirements involved to do it). " Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt
Europeans, will get steal box, tech tree, poster.... Frogboy said they will find a way that we although can download the bonus components.
Well, simply I am member of a few "hardcore" war strategy online gaming sites. (leagues) Posting there some information about the game and discuss it online in the forums Simply hoping that some other people therefore notice the game and pick it up. Unfortunately we are looking mostly for TBS games which can be played MP. Its simply about competion, Still, at least some people more will buy the game now. If I really like the game I although will
