So far it looks like lots of crashes are problems with drivers or codecs.
I think you are right. Disabling the intro video and using DX9 mode solved my crashing. I would rather play with DX10 mode, but I can wait for a fix.

Well this is bullsh** the freakin game keeps crashing on 1st turn. I should have waited for the demo. I'll learn one of these days.
I've only ever seen one in my games. I would like a minimum of ten for large maps.
I recommend Distant Worlds. IMO it's the best 4x space stratergy game out there right now. FYI they are working on a expansion, no details have been released though.
Sounds like the parent company was going belly up and has been bought out. New investor = new changes. http://tw1.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=30244.0 http://www.bankier.pl/inwestowanie/profile/quote.html?symbol=OPTIMUS&format=detailed
Talk of monopoly is insane. Here is a brand new digital distribution service. http://www.beamdog.com/ Sure they don't have as many games as Steam or Impulse, but they probably will some day, competition is good.
Please make it when the enemy sovereign dies, their empire continues on. One of the Fallen sovereign charged right into my city, which had a army three times as strong. They died and their empire went poof, felt like a hollow victory.
This was my first out of memory error since Beta 4. Here is the debug. http://www.pastebin.ca/1943751 Here is the dump. http://drop.io/7utuw1a Hope this helps.
I enjoyed AOW more than I did AOW SM, but that's probably because I played AOW multiplayer only. There are ton of maps and mod still online for AOW over at http://aow.heavengames.com/ and AOW II, SM maps and mods http://aow2.heavengames.com/ They really need to make AOW 3.
It's "liberated". The manual has been released early. I'd suggest saving it rather then opening it in a browser, as it's quite large (233 pages, 25MB).
I recant my earlier post, after reading the manual and PC Gamer review, my pre-order is downloading as I type this. Combat sounds fan-freaking-tastic.
and since you can't rotate map view
Huh, just use the middle mouse button or control and the arrow keys. Map rotates fine.
For the 2nd expansion pack, Frogboy first said it would be free to people owning prior to v1.1 release. Now it is a Sept. 30th deadline. That's the difference I'm pointing out.
Patch 1.1 should be out by then, considering that patches have been pretty much coming out each week.
Mine installed here. C:\Users\Hadberz\Documents\My Games\Elemental\Units
Yeah, Xander wants to come outside and make the Fallen eat dirt. :)
5 hours? I have WAY more than 5 hours in my save game...over 500 turns. So, I'm supposed to lose all of that progress? The patch should fix the bugs in the actual game's code, not the data stored in a saved game.
You have to start a new game for the updates to work, just way it is.
Check the box, then refresh impulse. 1.08b should show up to install. I have yet to miss with magic and it kicks ass now. I also make much more gold from my cities. I'll have to play longer to see if monster hunting will be worth it or not. The best thing for me is my fps are hellva lot better. I don't like how I can see everyones Kingdom reports, kinda feels like cheating. Hope its a bug they just forgot to turn it off. If it was in there before, then I must ha
I just bought Age of Wonders and Age of Wonders Shadow Magic. Shadow Magic downloaded, installed, and ran fine.
Just click the button at the bottom of the sov screen. They should save, but I haven't tried it yet.
I´m here for 2 weeks and i dont care about what was on the table weeks/month/years ago. I dont wont total war -battles. Maybe this battles look epic, but i really dont like the gameplay, the rush and in the end its always a big bunch of pixels. I like battles in a HoMM Style (never played MoM) and thats what i get.
Amen to that, I hated the continues turns/large battles idea from the beginning and am glad it was removed. If they could make tactical
I think teleport is out of place for a starting spell. I would like to see something like what was in the book. Artifacts that can be used to teleport across the world. I forgot the proper names, but it was these mirrors and telescope device. You can teleport to any location as long as the artifact is already there.
I would like to see more of the story in the game as well. I'd settle for quests that had more Elemental lore written in them.
Yea, we're not going for epic tactical battles. MOM is our influence, not total war.
Good to know, I certainly do not want Total War style battles.
Family packs are coming back? Might actually upgrade my wife and kids computers.
Yep, Great game. I'll probably buy it again, just so I don't have to mess with the disc.
I'm passing until a demo is release. If it's dumbed down I don't want to waste my time/money on it.
