1. Zoom does not work flawlessly, i still find myself fighting the entire game to view different sections of the map which decreases the fun of game play dramatically. 2. Units move way to slow. 3. The idea of having to capture and hold certain areas for a victory is lame. 4. Although i see more variation in units than previous versions, they still all look way too similar.
Stickbone
So i just bought the founders and im looking for a multiplayer game. Anyone interested? Does anyone want to meet up for a scrap?
Please pardon my noobness....but ive yet to see sea units? If they exist, gow2 from ta was also a favorite.
Ok, since i helped start this. This thread is about zoom.....and it has it.....I also heard the comments about cloning and took them and ran with it. It was never the point. It has zoom enough to move around the battlefield quickly. I spent well over a hundred bux on starcraft 2 disk and dont even bother installing it now because the inability to move your view around the battlefield quickly is very annoying to me. Trust me, the last thing i want is an sc2 clone. Thats the reason i jumped at
I told you already. I don't care what he says. Hes a salesman! The proof is in his results. You already proved i should not address you because you believe everything little thing that a used car salesman tells you.
[quote who="tatsujb" reply="91" id="3563993"] Quoting Stickbone, reply 81 maybe im just alittle sore about how fast Etherium flopped when i bought it before its release date. lol! that's not very clever of you, the beta and alpha were free. I partook. Plus you had plenty of media coverage allowing you
Yes after watching the video It wasn't quite what i thought it was. As long as i have the ability to move around the battlefield to different areas quickly im not concerned so much with icons. Good deal.
Yep, that's a fact. But the real subject of this thread is about strategic zoom so i wont harp over other subjects. I think its a very important item that an extreme zoom "out" be included. In reality, no game has truly maximized its potential and i think it would be totally amazing to have a game with ten thousand unit capability along with unit upgrade options similar to starcraft 2, which shows you what upgrades a particular unit has in the ui at the bottom of the screen when you take
IF fa was such a polished game then why did the entire community pay to have it modded to the point that it is not even the same game anymore? The con issues were 100 percent the fault of the game maker who chose not to fix the problem. The entire world but you know this already.
100 percent incorrect.
From a technical standpoint, i was referring mainly to forged alliance which was clearly not a complete finished product when it was released. It even still has connection problems related to coding to this day. You can look on youtube and see review after review of players bashing the game due to connection issues alone. And that dosnt even count the countless bugs along the way that the maker never fixed due to supposed lack of funding. Im still saying the same thing, who is gonna pay you f
How did we go from strategic zoom to projectiles? lol.......round and round we go. The initial statement was a word of caution as much as trying to have a supcom clone. The truth is that just about any player whoever plays supcom/fa never wants to play without zoom (in and out) again. The reason why is because its that much better than any other design/platform. And I heard someone mention tragic flaws of supcom. The biggest flaw was poor support from the game maker as a result of supposed la
Ive tried games without zoom.......lol
I personally care alot about strategic zoom, its a must have for me. Im still mad at myself for buying starcraft 2 garbage without zoom.....And i wont buy this one until i know for a fact that it will be included in the game. How can anyone ever say starcraft 2 is even close to being the best rts ever without zoom....it blows my mind it really does.
Throws up in his mouth a little. For once, it pains me to say that i agree Brink on this one. The idea that strategic zoom stays zoomed out is wrong....it helps you control large armies much easier and attack in different places at the same time. In my mind this is one of ta's biggest shortcomings, the inability to move around the map to different areas in a flash. Best to have a better way to tell what upgrades your units have. Shouldn't have to eyeball them in extreme zoom to tell.
