Re: #10 The new AI routines are making the game less strategic in my book. If there ends up being only one or two ways to defeat the AI at the highest levels, WHERE IS THE STRATEGY IN THAT? It just ends up being a meteverse rank power building waste of time. IMHO. :notsure: ~SDC~

'AI's will just disband useless starbases like they disband useless colonies' Are you sure the AI would do this with Starbases? I haven't atually put this in to practice, the idea just came to me when I was gardening. ~SDC~

Market your lame show idea to a fat cat executive type. Grab a has-been mexican, a fat black guy, and a snobby brit and label them judges. Rent a warehouse in a crappy part of town and have all the bums do lame parlor tricks and half-assed attempts at singing. Video-tape it. Show it on network TV. Remove the most entertaining monkies until you have the least interesting one left. Throw money at it and watch it flounder. Repeat. This is how 'stars' are made.

I'm a unix admin by trade. I've earned my bread and butter wid it. It provides me with many resources and happiness. Unfortunatly Linux -IS- still just a hobby OS. Sure it's growing strong.. But it's a far cry from being remotly mainstream. I've snuck it on several dozen machines at the office and when management wants to know how it is that my budget is so well maintained I'll show them.. The day I hear the guys at Jiffy Lube debating the best Linux-flav is the day it's no longer a hobby.

My son, I cannot be wasting my infinite power helping people out with these types of problems. I mean the last four times you begged my help I hooked you up. I care really. It's just that this is getting out of hand. In the future, just think about it a little more before you ask for my help. I don't mind fixing the large problems, but these small things are a bit of a waste of my time. But then again, I have infinite time, so you’re really not wasting my time; you’re wasting your time.

The bottom line is that MOST Americans could give two shits less then half a rat's ass about politics. The only reason their heads are lifted slightly from our consumerism is the media adds the semi-reality pills to our mindless TV programming once in a while.
