downloaded the update that is available on the page here. how can I open this .err file ? with word ?

1st. my english is crap ;) when I want to start a new game and did the setup (map size, race stats etc) and the game loaded the screen stays black :( I can only hear the musik... nothing more I already installed the 1.01 patch, its still the same My sys is Win98 AMD K7 800 128 MB RAM Elsa Erazor III Pro (TNT 2 chip) with newest Drivers and DirectX 9 (old machine I know :notsure: )
