Does blowing up star systems with Billions upon Billions of people have any effect on your morality and/or dimplomatic relations? Quite obviously the owner of the erased system won't like you very much, but what about the rest of the galaxy? Anybody know? Oh! And it would be cool if there where some sort of graphic to represent a destroyed star system that we can click and get a little blurb about what happened and when by whom, kind of like the planetary description under details on th

I keep reading about people spacing their colonists due to morale problems. I never have morale problems. What am I doing right or what is everybody else doing wrong? ;) ~SDC~
tfm, I agree, I just built and used a Terror Star on the I-League (Take That! Should have given me what I wanted, you curs!) and it was quite dissapointing. First, there was no cinematic when it was built (like there is for battleships), Second, it was the same not so great ship dies sound when fired on a sun, Third, the actual destruction of the sun didn't look spectacular at all and Fourth (and final) there was no cinematic of a solar system being blown away. I was kind of hoping for a Star Wa
evil has new ships? ~SDC~
In my current game I'm leading The Space Vikings in a quest to rule the galaxy. :D I'd love for my ships to be named SVS, but I'm just too lazy to rename them all so it's still USS. :( wampyre, Yes I do. But then I don't know what's good for me either. ;p
It would also be nice if the changes in the incremental ie (x.x.01 to x.x.02 etc) updates where listed so we could decide if we want to update now or maybe wait for a major update. Don't get me wrong, I like updates as much as the next man, it's just that I wouldn't mind knowing what they do...
Technically, I think "No comment" constitutes a comment in and of itself, but I won't comment on that. Damn! I just made a comment didn't I? ;p ~SDC~
What do they do if you open a hole in your scout ring around the defecting system? ~SDC~
#6, let me get this straight. You surrounded all Altarian planets with scouts, declared war on the Altarians, destroyed all their ships not in orbit and they could do nothing? I assume that is because your scouts are blocking their ships in orbit from leaving orbit. I'd say that's something that's in serious need of fixing. If someone you're at war it har your star surrounded you should be able to fly out with your guns blazing and blast a path to martial glory... :D ~SDC~
Hmm, don't think I've seen that thread, but I wouldn't mind going off in unintended directions with Angelina Jolie... :D ~SDC~
Just rename nothing in the build queue to Merchandise and let it pump money back to you. The funded production shields that costs 1 bc will give you 1 bc back, but each bonus production shield will give you an additional 0.1 bc so you get a small surplus. Might be a little too powerful with umpteen production boosting starbases in the sector, but that's going to be nerfed anyway so I don't think so. The military production queue will then be building high-tech toys for boys and the social queue
Ok, I can see that I guess. At least in 1.02, but with the nerfing of cultular starbases coming in 1.03 (the farther away from one your systems it is, the less effective it is) I think that's going to become alot harder, at least on the larger maps. ~SDC~
Ok, that's nice to know. It makes sense that repairs are faster in orbit due to proximity to repair personell, spare parts and whatnot. I just didn't think it worked that way. ~SDC~
Winzip works just fine, just rename the file to .rar instead of .zip so winzip recognize the packaging method. ~SDC~
Yeah, but how do you get your culture to dominate 90% of the galaxy without at the same time controlling a vast majority of the star systems in those sectors through defections? ~SDC~
Za H, I assume that your ships needing repairs are just in orbit to remind you they need repair and not because they repair faster in orbit, right? My understanding of repair is that it doen't matter where you are, it gets done at the same rate regardless. Not counting starbase bonuses. ~SDC~
James, you can do that in the link I gave above. It's not on the main page that comes but at the top of the page you'll see a listing of Optional Settings and the fourth one is Change your nickname. Hope that helps. ~SDC~
Man, this place needs an edit and a preview function! I'm not going to bother pointing out my mistakes in the above post as they should be fairly obvious. ;p ~SDC~
Is it just me, or does 90% seem to a bit high? I mean, when you have that much influence every star system will tripping over their feet defecting to you and you probably have military control over most of the galaxy as well. So is it not in fact conquest victory with slightly new clothes? Kind of feels that way to med at least... :notsure: Maybe 75% would be more reasonable? ~SDC~
Ah, good. Thanks. ~SDC~
No problem. I figured I wasn't the only wondering so when I found out how to do I thought it would be a good idea to spread the world so to speak. :) What posts are that and why did he make you do them? (This forum needs a question mark/wondering smilie) ~SDC~
But if you trade it away, do you still get the bonus yourself? ~SDC~
Appearently nobody could. But I figured it out all by my lonesome anyway, so if anybody else is wondering, here's how it's done. Found a General FAQ link under the support tab in stardock central and under the Stardock Central heading I found this link (for changing email adress in the FAQ, but that's not all you can do): http://www.wincustomize.com/editaccount.asp ~SDC~
Hmm.... Just out of curiousity I'd like to see that prison cut scene, but I bought the game so I guess that means I'm SOL unless someone know where I can find it in the game directory? I just love the idea the developers put in a special cut scene for software pirates and I want to see it. :D
Ah, I see. Thanks.
