SDCentral crashes when it starts in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I've downloaded and installed SDCentral to get access to the most recent patches for GalCiv, but SDCentral crashes right at the start (before it displays any screen). I've searched for the info and found that SmartException might be useful to diagnose the problem, but to get it one needs SDCentral which crashes in first place:) Though I've seen a direct link in one of the posts - is it official distribution? At the moment I only have regular Windows exception log. Also I've read that SD
