The problem with all of these strikecraft/carrier threads, is that the alternatives offered would make them nearly useless, or so tedious to use no one builds them. The solution is not to beat it to death with a nerf bat, but to come up with viable, balanced alternatives.

Your missing the fact that ships need more than just crew to operate. You need supply and refueling stations. Increased infrastructure to keep ships battle ready and properly maintained. Stuff that wouldn't go away because you lost your ships. It was implemented this way so that you would have to make the difficult desicion whether or not to increase your capabilites.

Ah, I always like to eliminate ram issues and overheating first, sorry if my above post implied any rudeness. Now then, is any of your hardware overclocked? OCed ram can be very delicate. If anything is OCed I would suggest lowering them to default values and run the game again. If it still crashes I would fire off some emails to [email protected] and see if they could help you.
