Played around 4-5 hours yesterday had no problems (14 May 2015). Played around 3-4 hours today (15 May 2015) and had a CTD for no apparent reason. If I remember correctly the crash happened during the end turn phase. Restarted and played for about another hour and had a crash at the same spot (during end turn phase). Waited a little and then restarted. Played for about 30 - 45 minutes and had the crash again. I rebooted and started to play again. Played for 30

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, if it has and a solution has been found let me know. Here's my problem; I'm using dual monitors and running Windows 7 64. and I have to have pointer trails on to keep my cursor in my primary display from enlarging. Windows 7 bug not Stardock's, however every time I start Elemental it unchecks pointer trails in the mouse settings and then fluctuates between being large and small and when I exit the game my cursor is large. The unchecking pointer tr

I am resurrecting this thread because I want to ask a question. I know that when Galciv 1 and 2 came out 1024 X 768 was a very desirable minimum resolution, but today in 2008 we now have ultra mobile pc's (UMPC) that only support a resolution of 1024 X 600. Is it possible to force either of the Galciv games to this resolution. My UMPC is more than capable of running either game except for the resolution. I think it would be great if I could take either one or both of those games on the road to p

I would like to see tactical combat added to a GalCiv game. However I envision it more as a chess match. When you combine your ships into a fleet you would also choose a formation. This formation would be automatically used when your fleet enters combat. Another option would be to have a setup phase before you actually entered combat. Once you enter combat your ships would be placed on an 8X8 or 8X10 "chess board". The order of play would be attacker moves one ship, then defender moves one ship

I was wondering if the bug that caused my capital to move when I colonized two systems in the same sector while using a custom made map has been fixed? This bug pretty much turned me off this game. I had posted about the bug within a couple of months after AP came out and I never heard anything more about it. If it wasn't fixed then I guess I won't be playing the game anymore. I found it frustrating that my capital would move from a well developed planet to a newly colonized one. I like this gam

It does not appear the moving capitol bug has been repaired. Everytime I colonize more than one system in a sector my capitol moves. The second system doesn't even have to be in the same sector as my capitol. My capitol moves if I colonize two systems in any one sector. To me this ruins the editor.

Map Editor and/or game bug. I created a custom map that had two stars with habital plants in the same sector as my homeworld. When I started playing this map I naturally colonized the two star system. When I did this the game moved my capital to the star that was colonized last. So unless I created a second habital planet in my homeworld star system and colonized that planet last my capital was moved form my homeworld.
