All you guys trying to locate a in-store box! Ha! do like me, order online and then go buy a box when you find one! Really, this game is worth buying twice! (I know I did - go go stardock!)

Now my question is... I didn't pre-order the game... (silly me didn't pay enough attention to the shipping date and I didn't know it was out until the 23rd of last month) But I would really really like the extra components... Can I pay a supplement to get an upgraded version?
Hmmm, if you install without SD central, he won't have access to the updates and bonus stuff - which is Stardock's stated "Anti-piracy" protection. It may break the EULA, but if it's what it takes to make him buy the game then I think it's worth it. As for multiple-platform-installation, I think it's just wrong not to use one of the game's greater asset - being able to play without having to switch a CD around. As long as you're
The minor civs -do- expand. It's just very unlikely. In one of my game, the most powerful civilisation in the quartely report are listed as the "Alkalians". Yup, a minor civ is topping the charts. Of course, I traded them most of my technology for a heavy dose of cash - just don't trade them any +diplomacy techs and let the money flow in. I thought it was harmless, seeing as how they would get conquered eventually but then... they start
I don't know.. but I can't wait ._.
I'm the quiet minority who reads but almost never speaks... Yoh!
You're kind of right, although I made it a point to never sell a ship technology untill I had a better one researched. Anyway, it's a style of play, by selecting a few things to sell, you can make lots of money. Selling star fighters and corvettes ought to make some cash, I just need to try it out (and see if I can sell them for what they cost (60BC for starfighters I think ?))
I've just played another game (and won, this time killing 2 ships and losing none) and I had absolutely -no- trade routes, 0% taxes, 100% spending and loads of money in reserve. I just found that you can make other civ pay you a -lot- of money for researches and trade goods. Basicaly what I did was sell those things one by one for a sum of money for 50 months (or more). Obviously having a good diplomacy bonus helps here. It was kind of crazy, I was getting 1200 in tributes per month from ot
Ok, I'll give my own as well. I'm not that great at GalCiv (I have had the game for like 4 days now, and boy did I lose many many games when I started playing... I'm starting to grasp it now though !) The latest game I've played I had Pacifist (+20% social production, + 20% influence), "Dont't Ask" pop. grwoth (+80%) and +30% social production if I remember correctly. My only hitch is that I don't see anything different with my social/military production, so I'm going to put those
