I purchased Galactic Civilizations II today online using a credit card and received the web page showing confirmation and the download link for the set-up file. When I clicked on the download link, the web page "hung" on me and the download never started. I had to restart the computer to regain control. I still have not yet received e-mail confirmation of the purchase and I am anxious to download the game so I can start playing. I cannot seem to find anywhere in my account that gives me the down

Just got 1.05.068 and game crashes to desktop when I chose a social improvement from the governeor's screen. ~SDC~
Just got the newest update from Stardock. All was well until I tried to instruct the governor to build the fusion power plant as my first social project. As soon as I double click the fusion power plant from the list the game crashes me out to the desktop. I can forward the saved game to anyone who wants to investigate this bug further. ~SDC~
I like the idea of the "Starbase support network", but I think it should be limited by sector. For instance, if a sector has 3 colonized planets, it can support up to 3 starbases without cost. Any further starbases built in that sector will create a monthly fee. That way you can't build all your free starbases in just a few sectors and ignore the other less strategic / valuable sectors. Also, I think there should be a small, one time only, fee for each time you add a new module to a sta
Is there some easier way to tell what upgrades have already been made to a starbase other than double clicking on every one of them to see their stats? I know the icon changes subtly after each upgrade, but its impossible to tell what's been added without having to double click each one individualy. Would be nice if the were some numbers next to each starbase indicating the production and income bonuses they are providing.
Is anyone in the tech support department actually even seeing this problem reported? I have made similar posts complaining that my scores won't submit ..... no response. It would be nice to see somewhere that this problem had even been acknowledged, even if it can't be corrected. Someone, ANYONE, just post somewhere that you have heard the complaint and either a) your working on fixing it, b) you've already fixed it and have a solution, c) you have no idea how to fix it, or d) you could give a s
Replies as to why the scores aren't getting posted properly to Metaverse :)
Curious as to how Metaverse handles scores submitted by people who haven't patched versus those that do? Obviously those that haven't patched the game will have a much easier time winning and generating good scores. Does Metaverse somehow "curve" the scores to adjust for the imbalances of the unpatched game?
Since the production sliders are "global" and there is no way to change the percentages for individual star systems, is there any reason not to be ALWAYS building some sort of ship at EVERY planet, regarless of whether you need one or not? If you leave the militay project empty, it seems you are wasting those resources at that particular star system. You can always disband a ship after its built to avoid the maintenace costs if you don't want it. The last game I played I basically had every plan
I have completed and won 3 games now and have received the screen asking if I want to submit the score to metaverse. I have entered my e-mail address and an alias in the appropriate spots. I have a cable modem which is always connected to the internet. When I hit the "submit" key, the is a brief pause and I get sent to the main menu, but when i search metaverse I do not see my scores. Any solutions?
