A pretty annoying bug that is probably already reported: Basic steps are: 1) selecting a technology to research 2) Discover that technology in the diplomacy screen vai some sort of trade 3) You are never prompted to select a new technology/ research isn't accumulated. so about 8 turns or so go by I start feeling like, hey I should have a new tech here pretty soon... go to the research screen and the first item in list is selected, but I've accumulated no research t

Better keyboard support would be really nice for those mid-late game phases, particularly in non-military conquest lines Such as all those dialogs with the Done button, you should be able to just click Enter/Space or something to close it. Arrow keys should change selected item in lists, etc... Right now it's really mouse intensive just to get through the production reports at the start of every turn.

Since fleets don't give any bonuses that I can tell, could when a fleet attack, only use one movement point for the attacking ship and not each ship in the stack. And require for attacking with a fleet just that a ship with attack has movement points or something along those lines. It would make cleaning out a planet's defenses a lot easier interface wise later on in the game.

v 1.03 Weird bug. I had a stack with some dreadnaughts and transports next to a planet (cardinoids) The planet was empty so I tried fleeting my ships together and then click on the planet. For some reason, it decided I had no movement points left. Maybe one of the ships was out I don't know. So, my turn ended, next turn started, and I figured since the move order was going that direction anyway, I had nothing to worry about and didn't reissue any orders. I either clicked the turn button

First off, don't be Mr. Nice guy. If you see a minor race next to you, INVADE! Immediately. you aren't going to get anything from trading with them, and if you wait, another major will take them out. Those minor races need your leadership. They are begging for you to liberate them. Second, devote your trade to a couple of the large civilizations. Don't distribute the trade evenly, just focus on at most 2 of similar alignment and BIG - and don't establish trade routes with the minor race

Some diplomacy AI suggestions: * When an AI wants to make peace, it should consider how much warring you were actually contributing when it is negotiating its deal, such as, did you actually kill any of their ships or anything. Or at least it should offer a round of peace for a limited deal, say just a random technology or some money, and then if the player actually says no let's keep fighting, then maybe really beg for peace. Example: I was an extremely weak civ, and the

Now, is it just me, or do Battlehammers seem to be about the best bargain for ships in the midgame. Cheap to maintain, massive hitpoints - 2x more than a battleship, solid defense and attack, cheap to build. Once these guys start leveling up, they are really tough to beat. Only drawbacks seem to be range and speed. If you select a small speed boost at the start of the game though, this seems to get nullified pretty quickly. I had hammers at one point that were moving about 6 squares a

Pretty minor bug: v 1.03 When a civilization gives you ships that are outside of their range you have to move them back to your space in order for them to be effective. If you try to attack a ship before returning to friendly space you get the message saying, you've got to move back to resupply, yadda yadda... BUT, if you set a move point off in the distance, and it moves through a square containing an enemy ship, it will attack that ship. (Which is fine by me since I
