T-Man, Thank you for your answer. Yes, it looks like it is working again. Last two scores posted without any problem, although I have no explanation why. Any idea how difficult it would be to display some kind of status message (success/failure/reason for failure) when someone submits a score to the metaverse? I think that would be greatly helpful to track all those issues, both client and server-side. ~SDC~

I am not sure if there is an actual text file saved on the PC, but one way to get the info is to start Stardock Central (i.e., go to the 'Software' screen, then 'Drengin.net', click on the 'Galactic Civilizations' line, then look for a 'History' link of the left part of the screen. You should see the complete list of changes since the beginning). ~SDC~

I am starting to feel that predictability too. Although, we should not kid ourselves. As sophisticated as a computer AI is, we are still nowhere in terms of (artificial) intelligence. Sure, a computer can beat a human at chess, but it is only because it can browse through a library of millions of moves within tenths of a second. There is no intelligence involved. Overall, considering current limitations in both technology and development theories, I think GalCiv did a pretty good job,

This is getting so frustrating. Out of a total of 20 games I have submitted over 2 months, just 3 are showing. It works, then doesn't anymore, then again, then not. A shame for a company so focussed on the internet to have implemented such a poor software. ~SDC~

Even after playing GalCiv for more than a month, some star names just crack me up :) Recently, I have colonized : Heinlein (seems really appropriate for the Father of the sci-fi Golden Age), Algore (I am still looking for the Bush system), Gandalf and Sauron. ~SDC~

The European Union is a (economical and social) reality. Why trying to blame people who have shared so many things (good ones and bad ones) accross the centuries to group together for fun in a galactical conquest game? (or is it because this scares you?) The USA got their flag first on the moon; we will get ours first on Alpha Centauri! LOL ~SDC~

All these 'wormholes' techs make me believe that, early in the game development, they probably intended to have these techs enabling players to create their own permanent wormholes (would really help on gigantic maps, isn't it?). They dropped it later on due to the complexity they faced with teaching the AI's to build and use those. They still kept the techs, but stripped all effect from them. Of course, all this is pure speculation :) ~SDC~

I have had the same problem on and off for a while now. One game will register, then not, then again, then not... Currently on 1.03A.057, the game before this one registered, but this last one didn't. If a log file would be produced when the program fails to register, at least I could see what is wrong. I am assuming my registration is correct, as it did work before...
