Got a space monster yesterday. I spot it right after the event message, he had like 1500 hp max, but its current hp were 20 or so. He was in the middle of my sector, and there was nothing that could have brought it down from 1500 hp to 20 hp in just a turn. That doesn't seem normal...

Nothing like the whole galaxy declaring war on you in the same turn :)
Look what I found at the bottom of the 2nd page... ;)
Tiny map/rare planets/scattered/all A.I./Increadible
Change the 'rare' into 'abundant' planets, and you got your real challenge right there. And of course, you are not allowed to press 'alt-N' until you get something which suits you :)
Impressive...
Wasted resources are really an issue with galciv. It gets really important on tiny/maso where every resource and every turn are important. And, of course, that's without saying, that I am tired of having to micro-manage them every single turn. Am I the Galactic Emperor, or what? >:(
Same problem for me. The first 1.05 release was working fine, but since the last update, it submits back to 1.044 with its wimpy scores...
Same crash. Below is the end of my debug.err, not sure is it is related to the crash. I hope that with 1.05, the score you see before submitting will be the score you get on the metaverse (aka 'WYSIWYG'). I realize things have 'slightly' gone out of hand with 1.044, but after winning my first maso game yesterday, a 5,000 score turned out to be 500 on the metaverse. No fun... :notsure:
Hunterose, Nothing you can do from your side. Just have to be patient and wait for Stardock to re-compute the scores (which they will certainly do, considering how bogus the metaverse scores have been since the last patch). [Message Edited]
Now, if you start worrying when something goes wrong with the metaverse.... LOL
Looks like scores with 1.044 are either too high (I believe this was corrected shortly after the first patch on Friday), or too low. My last 2 scores on Tiny/Crippling account for 250-290 each, while the submition screen showed 1600-2000 (which seems normal with what it used to be in version 1.04).
The current gaming generation (unrelated to age) has really become the 'Nag Generation'. I mean, look at most official gaming boards (and this one really looks like a nirvana). They always end up cluttered with people complaining about anything and everything. What a bunch of spoiled brats have we become. Back in the days ( :p ), there was no patches, there was no boards, there was no customer support, and only a few games a year (when it was a good year). But, man, were we happy and in
Does anyone else get this great temptation to upgrade to Drengin.net?
Resistance is futile...
Just give all your planets to one of the AI and you should be all set :)
It usually takes a great deal of effort for a company to turn me into a 'fanboy', but, man, Frogboy & Co. really bring new meanings to 'customer service'... ;)
:CONGRAT:
I'd probably do a clean uninstall/install if I were you. Sounds like you got some corrupted data with the last update.
Omg... Between my first message and 2 minutes ago, the metaverse SR number register screen has been updated and now allows to convert a galciv to drengin.net account. I love Stardock :CONGRAT: :d
I remember seeing your problem (which is identical to mine from what I can tell) when I searched this board. Might not be an easy fix, or just a matter of priorities. Oh well, a fresh start won't hurt, I guess...
I recently upgraded to Drengin.net (due to Brad's evil plot regarding beta distribution ;)), but I seem to have some problem with my metaverse score. I have read on this board that when upgrading, you needed to change the serial number associated to the userid in the metaverse. When I changed the serial number from GalCiv to Drengin (in the metaverse), all my games disappeared, but my total score and number of games were still correct on the roster (although it was 0 in my em
Hopefully, this functionality will be added in the expansion... My major beef is when trying to find the remaining minors on a gigantic map... :notsure:
We are the champions, my friends. And we'll keep on fighting, till the end! We are the champions! We are the champions! No time for losers, 'Cause we are the champions - of the world! /bow LOL ~SDC~
