After the last update, I can no longer place AI races on the same team as me. Has that functionality changed or is this a big?

I have the same thing happened to me. Just bought the game and I can't get it to stop freezing after a few turns. After a reinstall I had smooth sailing for a while, and then the same behavior, after pushing it, I finally got this error message: CbeamElement::ValidateTexture FAILED: texture model asset BeamLaser.dds referenced by FXElement BeamLaser_Beam
