While you're selecting items to trade, the text with the trade proposal in the bottom center will turn green if the trade is acceptable. If it's yellow, they will most likely refuse the deal. It works like the trade advisor, it's just not very clear. Took me a while before I realized it myself :) ~SDC~

I've come across something fairly annoying. Apparently ships move while e.g. the planet overview is visible. Then I have to decide if I want to upgrade a starbase without even seeing which starbase. Would it be possible to delay ship movement until the galaxy map is visible in the main window? ~SDC~

I had the same problem until someone pointed out I should use my Drengin.net serial for Metaverse. Go to the Metaverse site and click the "Register your player" link. Chances are your GalCiv serial is still there. I'm not sure re-submitting the score will work after changing the serials. ~SDC~

I experienced the same problem. I thought I had posted this in some other thread, but I can't find it anymore. I'm not sure if loading the game caused it. I moved a TS to a square containing a fleet (NOT adding the TS to the fleet). Next thing I know is the TS has 6 moves. After moving the TS and the fleet for a couple of turns, always making them end on the same square, the fleet had vanished. I think it's the fleet and not the save/reload that's causing it. I have a save

I don't know if this was reported before. I now have a terror star with 6 movement points. This was probably caused by moving my TS into a square containing a fleet of regular ships (NOT adding the TS to the fleet). After moving the TS and the fleet around a couple of turns, making them end on the same square, the fleet was gone. As if the TS ate it :d ~SDC~

There should be a way to ask a civ to break an alliance it's in. In my latest game the Altarians were allied with the Torians. I wanted to take out the Torians, but not the Altarians. Before starting the war I started negotiations with the Altarians. I couldn't find an option to break the alliance, nor could I ask them to declare war on the Torians. So I started the war with the Torians, the Altarians joined against me because of the alliance. It would have been in the best interes

Follow-up to #284. I tried it again and found what's going on. Step by step... - I'm building a Galactic Exhibition. I decide to purchase a News Network and continue building the GE. - I switch production to NN & click purchase. As expected the progress bar now says "Completed Next Month". - I switch production back to the GE. Now the NN disappears from the available projects list. - I check the planet details: maintenance and bonuses have increased, the NN is no

I have completed social projects not showing up in the list of completed projects. The bonus of a project is in the planet details. I'll try to explain. After some heavy trading I used the money to purchase projects. After the purchase I also switched to a new project. At the beginning of the next turn, the purchased projects are not in the GNN report. They are no longer the list of available projects and not in the list of completed projects. However the bonus for the pro

Yes it does. I just finished my first game and one of the minor races offered a tech-for-tech deal. I also was able to trade technology with major races when I took the initiative. I would like a better indication of what the AI considers acceptable trades. The "What do you want for ..."/"What do you give for ..." options in Civ3 are nice. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it after a few more games. ~SDC~
