Hello! Today I updated to 1.05.071 and then started the "June game of the month". After a few years I bought "Zero Gravity Research" from an alien race(don´t remember who), which should enable "Brain Wave Mapping" and "Organic Piecing" as future research options. Well, these two tech options didn´t show up for me... Several years have passed now, I researched other techs, but this part of the tree seems to be dead. Oh, and those and further techs don´t show up in the diplomatic

I like the evil part better. Those +30% PQ improvements and +40% starship/production bonuses are so very satisfying during the colonization phase... :) Besides....slaves...you can never have enough of them!! :D
I don't think it makes sense to "know" how much an alien race is profiting through trade with us.
That´s true, but we would like to see the profit we are making through trade routes established by the alien races...so we can better decide who is going to be attacked.;) [Message Edited]
If I'm in a strong position, I usually just go on and play evil
That´s the point. Being good is suicide(for me, as an amateur player ;)) if strong Drengins or Yor are nearby. They don´t really bother me when I have two nice +40% starship bonus planets for free at hand. EBZeroMatrix: Most of my games are on large maps. But the "problem" is that an evil decision lowers my alignment points by ~30, whereas choosing a good path only raises the value by one or two

In the rush phase of the game, I also use to take high PQ, research and starship bonuses. Well, after taking three of them, I´m stuck as a diabolical character, and I can´t reverse that through the rest of the game, even if I always choose the good options in the upcoming events. Hmm...but what exactly makes the game easier being good? I mean, what counters the "evil" bonuses?

That´s the problem in Europe: Galciv is not advertised, there are only few reviews, and it is hard to get. The guy in the first store where I asked about Galciv had no idea what I was talking about. Other Strategy First titles are available, Legion for example even has a German manual.

It is said they contain very habitable planets, or at least have a higher probability to house them. In my games however ther was nothing special about them so far. Just planets between 15 and 18.

I see...in fact the Altarians were mining at least one military resource. Somehow I always thought this resource only gives ground soldiers a bonus. Anyway, the game is over now, I´ve been overrun, but I was an idiot. I started missile production too late...relied too much on the more flexible but expensive ships

Hello! My situation is like this: I´m playing with 1.03A in a medium sized galaxy with a bright AI. My empire is an evil aligned war party, and I´m at war with the Altarians and Torians. Obviously, I´m superior in technology, because I can´t request other techs in the diplomatic screen, and the stats list me as number one as well. Right now, we have a big Dreadnaught slaughtering around my planets...so far so good... But what I don´t understand is why the Altarian´s Dreadnau
