Thanks for the help. I have since made about 30 techs using the program you made. What are some of the ability bonuses? I'm familiar with some of them, but not with: a) Crime b) Cabinet c) Government Also, with interest rates, shouldn't the interest rates go down? It seems to me that raising interest rates is bad for your empire. If crime is some sort of monetary penalty on your empire, shouldn't the tech lower crime instead of raise it?

I probably missed this somewhere back, but how do you create new techs (such as smuggling). Also, how do you create new invasion tactics, new improvements, wonders, etc. Any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

I had a pure good (100) alignment and I went to war with a minor race. When I conquered one of their systems (using the standard warfare tactic) I recieved control of the system and was given a message saying that a raid captured key research documents that would be in my scientists hands by the end of the day. The next turn, I recieved Thought Police (an Evil Only tech). My alignment was still 100. Perhaps this is how the computer gets them as well. Also, they can trade for them, as I did.

I had the same problem! However, what the event does is cause the enemy who recieves it to get + 1 to any random attribute every turn. Though this is only minor early on, you will find them much more difficult to combat many turns in the future! Especially if you play on Normal or above. Eventually, if you do not kill them, they will be unbeatable.

Maybe this is just my inexperience talking, but I am having a real problem with the Torians. Prior to v1.03 I was playing on Normal and finding it rather easy. However, after downloading v1.03, I find that I have a hard time on Beginner. My main problem is always the Torians, especially in a Gigantic galaxy. For some reason, they have the largest population of all the races within 20 turns. In addition, they have about a dozen colony ships and half a dozen constructors in the same amount of

Has anyone else gotten the message that a random enemy (usually a main race) has obtained some Precursor artifact and will slowly gain power until they become the most powerful force in the galaxy? It's happened three times to me. Once, The Torians got it and did get that way and won the game. The second, the Altarians got it and got wiped out (by me) like 50 turns later...what's the deal?

I'd like to see more espionage actions (such as Assassinate a key leader or planet a nuke on a planet). A "Planet View" Button (a la CivIII). This wouldn't add much to the game, but it woudl add to aesthetics. More game color for resources, improvements, anomalies, and esp. Wonders. It seems so boring to just have a basic description and a percentage for a Galactic Wonder! Ships should not be rendered obsolete as easily. I like the earlier ideas about have a Dreadno
