:) horray for docklets :)
Some very interesting ideas! I've made note, thank you
Hi, shanghei: in the current form flyouts can only show an odd number of items. So unfortunatly, if there's an even number, you'll need to scroll to get to one. The flyouts will show either 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9 icons at max, rounding down of course. ju_star: thank you for the suggestions! I've made note of this post for the next time we're looking to improve flyout menus, both of the posts here definitely touch on things we'd like to improve upon the next go-around. <br
Ivan: I've updated the current beta on Stardock Central. Does it help your issue of weather docklets timing out when you have a large number of them?
no news currently, busy on other projects. but little bits of progress get made in times inbetween hah and yes it can be reminicent of ProgMan at times ha. vStyler: like a folder, but whose icons are readily available for use. if you have vista, this program may even allow you to have the contents of a folder show up on the desktop in one of those areas in icon or detailsview however you wish...you can
Wowwwwwie wow, the "The lines 2" and "Circles" ones are freakin sweet!! Sunset Sea = also very very nice looking.
Haha first time I've heard of "apng". Animation may happen one day but the slowdown is its just sooo costly, paricularly in memory. At least now I can get away with keeping just 1 high-resolution-32bit-icon in memory per icon, I do that and I'm lookin at one for each frame!! Sure, people who use it should know better...buuut they'll still all call it a "pig" for even allowing that hah
Hi imm0rtalsoule - Not sure what you mean by "regular ObjectDock doesn't do this"? Do you have both the free and plus versions installed?
Hi Ashes - that's a real possibilities - I'll put that in my notes to take a look at! Thank you. By the way, is that 3...tabbed docks? Or a zoomed dock and 2 tabbed docks? Or which kind of configuration Thanks -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Lead Developer
great! you're very welcome
WB5? or WB6? I feel the problem is fixed for WB6?
iVAN WILDER: I'll try and do some additional debugging with multiple weather docklets, hopfully i'll be able to see something! thanks
Hi Phoon, (1) I don't recall there being a digital clock plugin? I just looked back to the last non-beta release and didn't see any digital clock plugin? (2 & 3) Looking in to updates for that module ; the ones responsible for that specific piece are running behind so that update will likly be available in a 3.5x update if it doesnt make it in the non-beta. (4) We're working for a workaround, including looking at the option of completly rewriting the plug-in and shimmi
Hi Timothy, Thank you for the list, we'll be looking into fixing the things you mentioned. Some things I dont anticipate we'll be able to take care of though, pop-up messages (#4), since ObjectBar does not have influence over them. Also, hopefully I'll be able to take care of #2 but we'll see, I have to find out what WindowBlinds is doing. Thanks again for the list Best Regards, -Jeff
Hi Dave, We're checking to make sure the permissions are properly set up when ObjectBar is installed. Thank you for the information! -Jeff Stardock
Horray - yesturday was AWESOME!! Thanks for the good wishes everyone!!!!
Phoon - memory? cpu?
Hi dogSalad... this happens, every time an icon is added? E.g. right clicking ObjectDock and saying add new icon? Or when you click on something? Not sure I understand completly
number of new locations available = ridiculous basically, if you can get it on accuweather.com, you'll now be able to get it in ObjectDock. Fully searchable too, so just type in part of what you're looking for and it'll bring up a list of matches for you to pick from.
Hi #42... With the new beta version up for testing on Stardock Central right now, all of the above that you listed now work (Lyngby, Denmark - Ordrup, Denmark - and Copenhagen, Denmark)
Hi Adjudicator: The 64-bit version is indeed up on SDCentral and works quite well. No date at this point when it will go final-release
Ah, yes flyout on mouseover is not currently available for tabbed docks. The checkbox should be disabled when you configure the weather when it's on a flyout...looks like I may have left that out when I redesigned the dialog for this beta release! I do hope to get that behavior in to tabbed docks at some point as well though, fyi Thanks for the heads up
Another thing that could help the situation, can you pack up a widget that is showing the problem and toss it over to [email protected]? Let them know to pass it along to Jeff and that you talked to me Thanks...
I see. The problems we've been seeing have all been around UAC being *on*, so that is interesting. Does it just sit at 0%? And do the memory meters work?
