Ah sorry just read there. 64bit. I wonder if that has anything to do with it ; there's always the chance of some little incompatibility with 64 in the dreammaker that we'd have to work out. Will look in on that first thing tomorrow.

AzDude - 32bit OS? 64bit? Make sure DreamMaker.exe and DreamControl.dll are in the same folder and make sure the "run in" folder is correct. Lemmie know

Hi dragonmage, fyi SDMCP is going byebye in the not so distant future. The tray handling has been completly rewritten to not use a separate exe, and so that it can hook in and look at current icons so that it never misses any. Hopefully this helps work around the issue that they're seeing with the program. And hopefully also the PAM developer will fix their stuff too so its not doing anything funny if it is, and everything will be good <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smil

Hi Sherman, What kind of docklets do you have on your dock? I'd recommend heading into the Advanced Options and choosing the options to temporarily disable docklets. Reload ObjectDock and see if it still takes a while. If not, then there’s a good chance one of the docklets you're running is slowing it down. I've found "SysStats" docklets tend to do this...memory meters/cpu meters that kindof thing. If that doesn't do it, I'd try temporarily turning off system tray functionality

Hi MadFooBar, Unfortunately the Shareware builds sometimes don't get as much attention as the full builds get. Sadly in this case it looks like we're not quite stepping with our best foot forward when introducing users to the program...it looks like perhaps that the last time the program was updated a new shareware build was supposed to be released as well...and that just didn't happen. The last-released full-version of RightClick on StardockCentral was v1.2. The good news, is

Apple forces me to buy iTunes music They convinced other people who dont know whats going on to buy me an iPod as a present. I could either re-sell it for less than fair value, which would be insulting to those who got it for me, or use the gift cards they got to buy music and then thereafter continue to buy music from iTunes, since I can't buy music from anywhere else now that I have it. Wasn't my choice, it was

Hi Bluediablito: We'll be adding SystemTray support back for Vista & 64bit shortly, as in within the next few months. That's the only specific feature that's not available, though, in Vista we recommend running ObjectDock "as administrator" where applicable. Thanks, -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer

Hi thomassen, Just FYI, the only part of a vista gadget that can be semi-transparent is the static-image background. You can specify a png and it will honor it. From then on out, if you try to write text over what would otherwise be a transparent area, or apply any more pngs/etc over what would be transparent... you're not going to like the result

Hi Jimer, I'm pretty sure that that is a by-design behavior with MSN Messenger chat windows. They come up as a little notification in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, and if ignored they just go away to the background until you click on it. I don't particularly see a way around this unfortunatly. I tried it on several machines, uninstalling ObjectDock completly from some and rebooting and trying, and I observed that exact behavior. (One had MSN 'Live' another had v7.5 i belie

Hi Protaxion, There's a couple different ways you can approach this one. One, I'm seeing that its having trouble finding certain files, which means that its "Start-In" directory might be wrong. Compare the two links to make sure that the "Start in" directory listed in ObjectDock is the same. A second choice you have, is to make a shortcut directly to the shortcut. Now normally, if you take a shortcut and drag it on to an ObjectDock dock, ObjectDock will, instead of just pointin

Hi Dark knight, Sorry that the Library functionality hasn't worked our for you...unfortunatly in this release there isn't a way to stop it from creating that directory. I've made note however to add that for the next maintenance release so that OD only tries to add the library folder once per user. Hope you're getting good use out of OD+! -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer

THe "allow color" checkbox should only show for skins that are not already set to "allow color" "Default shadow" already comes with the "allow color" flag (despite its lack of unique tabs)

It is not typical for ObjectDockt to use 100% CPU. RocketDock doesn't do anything special to handle the CPU during mouseovers ; Both programs basically do what they can do animate as quickly and at as many frames as possible, both using GDI+ for their actual drawing-the-screen (which is what uses the bulk of CPU). And unlike other programs, ObjectDock is a program that you can count on for improvements and creative innovation, just take a look at its 6 year history to see how far its come <img s

Hi gtorres710, The Power meter, wireless connection, volume etc icons of your taskbar are called System Tray icons, and this functionality is available for the Plus version of ObjectDock. The free version can do taskbar functionality of showing your running problems, but not the tray. In the Plus, on zooming docks you can choose between either a taskbar, or a system tray, and you can have mutiple docks so you can put a taskbar in your bottom left corner and a system tray in your bottom

Hey Tofino / thomassen. Yes, the default Speed Optimization setting has changed from "Optimize for Memory" to "Optimize for Speed". Was having too many people get a bad experience with it having little bits of choppyness when it was doing routines to save memory, I decided that along with the new zoom algorithm I'm using I'd rather give people the best performing dock experience possible If yo

Good news! Even though I myself was unable to reproduce this, I was able to figure out why it might have been happening to users and with the help of someone who was having the problem, was able to fix it. If a few people want a test copy to tripple check that the bug is gone, you can reach me at -Jeff

Hi Lantec... Can you check with the brand new build that's on Stardock Central now to confirm that that still happens? Also, it seems like all ".ico"'s are rendering correctly but ".png" files arent. Is that the case? Thanks! -Jeff Bargmann ObjectDock Developer
