Just added a few new ones, thought you guys would want to know. Thanks.

Now where is that damn fairy dust when you need it?!
I love the idea..
There is still a chance we will be out this year, if everything works out. Hamster, If that happens it would make my dream come true!! So I hope your right! I for one will work my ass off to make this game great, if by chance we do win strategy game of the year. I think I will jump around the office like a mad man on fire!! Thanks for the motivation :-)
Yeah if you want a update every few weeks or so that's called a patch and most of the time is for a final product just like everyone elses games.. LOL
The question was does it look promising, right now I would agree if that was the final version. It would be like saying what neverwinternighs was without being about to level up
This may be true but we want to make sure that our users are happy with the product first. So far they seem pretty happy, I know we have bugs to fix but that's true with any beta these days. We also put out the beta really early so we can use feedback from our users to make the game better.
Also please make sure all your drivers are up to date, this may solve some of your problems. Thanks!
John, I for one would love that and wish other games would also do the same. To answer your question, don't quote me on this but I think you can replace the current mp3's with your own, isn't that the same thing, in a way?
I am pretty sure there is going to be a demo, just don't really have an idea of when that will be.
Ship battles will be better, it's something we have in the works.
For now if you want just turn off the music and play your MP3's in the background.
We have not even TOUCHED the sound yet.
You guys should see how many crash reports neverwinternights has been getting.. Some of them can't even install the game. I think we are doing pretty good is all I gots to say.
I don't really know but GalCiv can run in a window if that helps.
That's not good.. We will take a close look at it, thanks for the report. :(
I always play on Large, seems to be the most fun.
That can also be changed with the united planets :-)
I agree with you Jack, but strategy games should also have great graphics just like every other game, I don't know how important a 3D engine is to STG's but never the less in the end the game should still look as good as it can. A game like Civ 3 for example could have looked much better considering how well it sold.
Don't kid your self, graphics are just as important in today's day and age. You need both IMHO, I for one refuse to play a game with crappy graphics. They graphics don't have to be jaw dropping but they do have to be descent or at least meet today's standards. Now if the game also has some killer graphics it doesn't hurt the experience, It makes it better more engrossing and of course adds to the overall production value. If a game has great graphics you know the developer spent som
"What is to stop the Technologists from researching the extra trading ships along with the battleships? Will the research item not be available to them?" Nothing, that still doesn't mean you will out trade them.. Also the trader would still be able to get battleships they could always just trade for it since they also get a bonus when it comes to the normal trade screen :-)
I think that's to low end.. I mean come on, ATI?? Give me a break... Nvidia all the way baby!

I would have to say 2D does have a place, for now.. Just looking at this screenshot really shows me what a RTS can be when then engine is used right. http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters/products/screens/0,11105,556767,00.html?page=26
This screen has been completely redone, what is in the game is more of a placeholder
