Warcraft III and NWN are much better games IMHO and the fact they are coming from the top 2 gaming company's on the planet doesn't hurt. Quake 3 had tons of hype and it sold like crap compared to games like starcraft or Baldurs Gate. The reason I think is because first it really wasn't a great game, second it would only run on a super PC and third the half-life factor. I think in the end it all comes down to the market, and how many people know about your game and how many people would want

I agree with most of there reviews, could you give me any example where they where WAY off compared to other sites? I use review scores the same as I would a movie review. I may not agree with a 4/5 star review of a movie but I get a general idea how high the production values are. I just want to make sure I am getting my moneys worth. If anything they will get me to at least check out a demo.

I also look at the user voting aswell, I like the fact gamespot uses that. They also let users write there own reviews, I have seen the gamspot staff get flamed a few times, now that was funny..

The one thing I really like is you can download video reviews and previews. Gamespot hate to say it but also needs to make money, to stay alive and if you have not noticed it's getting harder to find demos of games without going through crap like fileplanet (Line que??). Or you could always wait a few weeks, to fine a fast server. As for the other sites it's only matter of time before you have to pay there as well :-) and to be blunt no one right now can touch gamespot when it comes to covera

I love it now! With having to pay the site has become so much faster, with all the non paying people gone. I also don't see any more ads which is also good, for 20 bucks a year who cares :-) We will be putting up a new trailer some time after the beta comes out.

The Torian (yellow guy, The Yor (Robot), The Altarian (You have not seen him yet) and The drengin all look pretty much like the old races, the only one we completely changed was The Arcean.
