You discover a species that somehow lures travelers to its planet and much like a spider web entraps explorers, essentially adding its biological matter to itself. Living for such a long time it has the memories of everything it has assimilated and is a vast resource for information/locations to anyone willing to donate biological, "crew" matter to its collective. Thus much like the Druuge creating a moral dilemma for the player. I imagine, when communicating with it wh

I think whatever you choose to include in the teaser should at its core evoke what Star Control is, a bit of humor a sense of adventure/exploration and some truly scary feeling of things to come. Of course how you translate that is why you get paid the big bucks and why I am throwing money at my monitor saying, gimme now!

I was a big fan of Spore and after seeing the concept art I could not help but make that connection as well. I do like stylistically how Mass Effect handled Planetary discovery and scanning. Not so much the actual exploration mind you.

I second everything everyone else has already said. I personally would like to express my excitement to interact with not only the developers but others who have had there lives touched by this great game. I honestly never thought 20+ years later I would be apart of something like this and look forward to what the future will bring with this project, I am sure I can speak for everyone by just saying a giant, Thank You!
While we're on the subject of fleets and motherships... I'd like to be able to upgrade my fleet ships past their stock abilities. Please let us find artifacts that increase ship thrust speeds, turning speeds, weapon damage, etc. I enjoyed piloting a Vux ship that was souped up by Precursor artifacts in SC1. I missed that in SC2. It was kind of dull to have stock ships in the fleet.
<p

Despite my forum name, my favorite SC ships were always the Chenjesu Broodhome and Mmrnmhrm Transformer. with the Chenjesu I loved completing a slingshot around the planet for speed and just sniping people with there main attack from around the map. The Mmrnmhrm it was just always fun to be a dick and nickle and dime everything from range. Until you had to go snub nose with a Chmmr but hey sometimes you gotta roll the hard six. I never really looked at

My name is Justin, I first got into Star Control in 1994, a senior at my high school had a copy and we would install it and run it on the only 486 PC capable of running it. My first experience was the Super Melee as I never had time during lunch to play the main game. Then on my 16th birthday I finally got my own PC and was able to enjoy Star Control at its fullest. It was the first great PC game I ever played and is still my favorite all these years later. I remembe

Great work on the updates! Getting these monthly updates are great and something amazing to look forward to each month. I was recently playing SC2 and was curious in the new Star Control, is there plans to have some sort of doomsday event I.E. Kohr-Ah Death March, in the main campaign? The added pressure of having a clock in the back of your head always helped add to the tension of the game.

Challenge #1: IS Star Control Star Control without the Spathi? Speaking personally, when thinking of what makes Star Control, Star Control, I cant help think of two things. One, a compelling open-ended story with real time consequences for story choices or inaction and a great supporting cast of well fleshed out characters. Secondly, a very well built universe full of space exploration and discovery were any star system can be your salvation or your un
