What dificulty level is Anomalous? You shouldn't be getting any zero scores. As far as their response to the Metaverse problems, I expect them to correct them or they lose a good GalCiv promoter and I find another game. It's not negotiable with me. That said, I think the support from the Galciv team has been excellent to date. I believe they don't yet understand the Metaverse problem and therefore they can't tell us much at this time. I'll also guess that they want people to continue to sub

There are currently a lot of problems being reported about Metaverse submissions not working. Can you please report to us via the Forum what the problem is. We don't mind waiting until you fix the problem but we do mind not being told what is going on because when we hear nothing from you we assume it should be working and then we replay the games from last saved game only to find the Metaverse Submission still didn't work. Time is too important to waste on replaying games for Metaverse when

Where I disagree is with the notion that any game you submit retroactively gets reduced toward zero, especially since those games still get held against you when calculating your overall score. Great point forceinfinity.

I agree SeanB. I think the normalizing to zero or the AGING PROCESS the scores go through is ridiculous and should be eliminated. In fact, I think the whole Metaverse scoring logic with the square root of the number of games played is a bad idea. I understand what they are attempting to do but I think they could easily ackomplish that by simply showing an average score per game - sum of all game scores divided by the number of games played. And by the way, game scores on Metaverse should be

T-man, Are saying that my game didn't register with Metaverse because all the scores are beig recalculated. And does that mean that after the scores are recalculated my 9th game will appear on Metaverse? If this is true than it'sgreat but I have one sugestion. You guys know when things like this are going to happen so a little advanced warning about it save as all a lot of stress and effort. :) Thanks for the excellent support T-man.

I think the whole deal about your Metavrse scores losing value over time stinks. It's a terrible idea and it prevents us from being able to determine and "check" if our score are correct. It also prevents us from fair comparisons to each other because we'll never know who really got the highest score. More importantly, they need to fix the submission problems with Metaverse and provide public notice when problems arise so we know they are working on them.

T Man, or anyone. Please respond to these issues about Metaverse submission problems. I submitted a Alliance Victory game Friday night using the Public version of 1.3 and it did not show up on Metaverse. We invest too much time in each game to not have our submissions counted. Please manually add my game score (as you have done before) so that I do not have to replay it from the the last save. If you can't do that then please advise as to what we should do when encountering these Metaverse s

Help. I just submitted a game to Metaverse and it didn't take it although the Communicatiom between the game submit and metaverse looked fine. I should have 9 games but it stil shows me with 8. This was an Alliance Victory on a huge map. Please advice if you can get it on Metaverse or if I will have to replay it from he last autosave. Please fix the inconsistancies with Metaverse. It's a real bummer when you finish a very long game and can't see the results in Metaverse. Thanks. It's sti

I use a very high tax rate to start like around 65%. I grab as many planets as I can as fast as I can, build soil enhancement, banking, MFG and Habitat Improvement. Then I turn the Social slider up to 100 and build the Economic Center and I'm ususually spending 50% of all the spending in the universe in the pie chart at lower left by then regardless of how much trade I got going on. I rarely build the Social improvements that give you + Moral. I get off to a bad start militarily and populatio

I name the planets after the members of my family in order in which they were born then move to names of our pets then onto names of my closest friends then the names of the NASA Space shuttles. That's good for about 50 names. I have this order written down so I use thesame order every time. This helps alot because you usually know and early name has better social production than a latter acquired plant. Also, I always draw a map of the galaxy and show the names of my planets and where they

I have not been able to find a place that has a document or info about the benefits each trade goods provide other than the short decription you get when you finaly reach the point to make it. I like to have this info in advance. Anyone see this info documented anywhere?

It would be great to add a Filter to the Tactical Screen so that we can filtor out the various items that screen displays. This way we could use it to quickly locate specfic types ships, resources, and starbases. Using the filter we could select to only show Colony ships or only show Constructors, or only show starbases, or only show our planets or only show Military recources. This would be a great addition to an already great game. Thanks for listening! :)

I don't like the math. Too hard to figure your costs. Keep it simple. Besides, if the first starbase costs X to maintain, the costs should not change just because of how many you have. It's unrealistic. Maybe you can let the cost be effected by the distance from your nearest planet but all starbases should have the same cost parameters.

Stacking starbases? That's an interesting concept. If I put 2 starbases in a sector with three planets and load the starbasses with Military and Social +5% modules will they both add to planet productivity?

I too submitted a winning game last night and the modem transfered the data to metavverse but metaverse didn't tally it to my account on there. I think there is a problem that they are scrambling to fix and maybe that's why they are being silent about it. It would be better if they just acknowleged the problem and tell us when it will be fixed so we can just go on with another game and come back and submit the others when they fix this. But appearantly everyone is having this problem now.

In addition to registering with Stardock for Metaverse acess, you must also Register your Player with Metaverse. You will see that option toward the top of the metaverse home page. It says "Register your Player to include your scores in the Galactic Metaverse. After you do that then replay your last game from the last save and when you submit it, all your games played will be submitted.

To Desert Fox: Make sure you register your Metaverse name when you first submit your game scores. I didn't do it the first 2 games but when I finally figured it out and resistered again (for the game score) it did submit that game and my 2 previous games. I know this sounds confusing but first you register with Metiverse via Stardock and then when you go to submit look for where the Metaverse page prompts you to register your Game's player name which is the same name as your Metaveser sign in

It would be great if as we go through the individual planet screens to launch ships or change what we are building if we could see the starmap and where this planet is located on the starmap. This is very important because I can't remember where all my planets are and when deal with their settings I need to know in what area of the starmap they are in. Thanks

I'll Join. But I'm a newbee still working on my first cakewalk game. And I have no idea how to join but I do live in Texas. I work 2 jobs so not sure how much time I have to contribute but the good news is that I'm single (divorced). Yes. That's right, divorced due to my devotion to Computor Gaming. LOL
